Hello,

I am a new member, so please forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I just purchased a house, and am looking for a lawn tractor. I will be mowing about 2 acres or so. We have 5 total, but it has many trees on the property. There is some sloping, and I was looking for a tractor that had a locking rear differential. I came across a 2003 X585 that is probably more than I need, but I like the 4x4 and hydraulic ability. The mower looks to be in great shape. It is located at a dealer, from which the original owner traded it in on a newer model. It still has some wax on it from the previous owner cleaning it. The plastic grille on the front is broken however. The mower has 692 hours on it, and upon starting it, I noticed an oil leak from the front of the engine. The dealer said that they would get this taken care of as it was recently traded in and they have not yet checked everything out. They told me the price on this mower is $4500. I know it is all in how it has been taken care of, but approximately how many hours can you expect out of a mower like this before it has engine/trans issues? It is a gas engine and not a diesel. Everything seems to work like it should, even the seat is in good shape with only small cracks on each side. I believer it has a 62 inch deck, and that is the only attachment it comes with. I looked at an 06 x500, but it was sold just before I got there. I have also been looking at the Husqvarna GT52Xlsi. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Travis
