As a listing real estate agent you are always looking for better and cost effective ways to market your real estate listings.

It’s all about the marketing – getting your sellers home in front of the most people in the most effective mediums. Because the MLS is just not enough, real estate agents looking for an edge on their competition upped the stakes by adding in postcards, flyers, broker opens and tours, single property websites, then professional photography, then professional videography and in some cases, 3D blueprints.

So, what’s the next step?

Well, the sky is the limit – literally. I started shooting HD real estate videos for my clients over 2 years ago. Real estate videos shot not with an iPhone or iPad, Kodak Zi8 or Zi10 (not that there is anything wrong with these tools) but with professional full frame DSLR’s, Canon Mark II and Mark III, Sliders, Cranes, Professional Audio, Glidecam, etc. I did all of this to deliver a superior product for my clients and their sellers.

It worked too. My clients were walking into listing presentations, competing with more experienced and often more established REALTORS. They would show the seller one of my HD Property Tours. Professionally shot and edited, a real estate video that tells a story, a real estate video that allows a buyer to mentally move into a property. A real estate video that really brings a property to life, a real estate video with the listing agent introducing the property – and win the listing. (I’ve seen it more times than I can count – turns out sellers want value too, go figure)

“Thanks for your work. BTW; I had a listing appointment yesterday and they were hammering me on commission. I wouldn’t budge from 6% because I know what we do and we are worth it. They had another agent that would do it for 4.5%. or 1.5% on sell side. This is a $1,200,000.00 listing. I emailed them the video and they thought it was fantastic. Called me later and said they were going with me. Got the signed listing contract this morning. Guess we are doing another video…”

As if that wasn’t enough, I also optimized the real estate videos for search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing & YouTube. Most of the videos I created and optimized for my clients were on page 1 of Google competing with the huge third party aggregators – Z.T.R. (a real estate agents biggest online competition)

As other title companies enter the fold (regrettably I trained some of them myself) I have to up my game. I have to continue to innovate. I know REALTORS® are business people and as business people they will seek out the best product on the market, the best vendors to help them succeed. So I’m taking my real estate marketing, and yours too by the way, to new heights – literally.

In October 2013 I started using quadcopters in my video marketing to help my real estate clients. While I wold like to think my real estate videos are already awesome, (I train real estate agents and title reps around the country how to use and leverage video) they have an achilles heel – they can only show the ground floor perspective, not the location, not the subdivision/neighborhood. That’s where quadcopters come in. Through the use of camera fitted quodcopters I can add the dynamic of aerial video and/or photography into my clients real estate videos. Take a look at the videos below and the use of aerial videography to establish the location/setting.

Now I know what you are thinking, “isn’t that type of real estate video really shaky or jello like?”. Yes and NO. Aerial videography with a quadcopter is tricky and can be shaky, it is typically “jello” like. My real estate videos however are not. My quadcopters are equipped with a state of the art gimbal or image-stabilizing instrument, that allows me to shoot video “up there” as stable as I can “down here”. The stability of the footage rivals that from a full sized (expensive) helicopter, only better as I can get closer than a real helicopter can without disturbing the environment. My cameras shoot aerial video at 1080p 60fps, 30fps or 24fps for that cinematic look and feel. To make sure I am getting the best shots at the right angles (away from the sun) I use FPV or First Person View goggles so I can see what the camera sees – in real time.

So if you are looking to take your real estate marketing to new heights – literally, with aerial videography in Phoenix – call, email, tweet, pin, chat, text me or simply fill out the form below. Oh and because the F.A.A. has banned the use of UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) aka “quadcopters, octocopters”, etc for COMMERCIAL use “charging a fee” (a ban that will be lifted in 2014 as rules are established) – I don’t charge a fee. Oh and I also stay below the hobbiest threshold of 400 feet set by the F.A.A.

Sky’s the limit. Really.
