Classicals, also known as Classics, are what most people visualize when they think of a Vampire. In movies and literature it is said that Classicals have been 'Brought Across', meaning brought across the threshold of death; or having been 'turned', meaning transformed from a living human into a not living Vampire. This is of course a fictional vampire, real Classical Vampires are NOT dead or undead.Fictionalized versions of Classicals are the kind of Vampires you see portrayed on 'Forever Knight', and in Ann Rice novels. Dracula, in all of his incarnations, was supposed to be this type of Vampire, purely from Bram Stoker’s imagination. We all know that Vlad Tepes was given the name of Drakul, which meant Dragon. Vlad's' father was known as The Dragon due to his leading association with an order called The Dragon. Vlad inherits the name, and an 'A' is added, meaning 'Son of', thus Dracula = Son of the Dragon. He may have been a bit mad, but he is still considered quite a hero in his home land.Another meaning for the word Drakul is 'Devil'... given by the church at the time, for the inhumanity of the acts committed. As you all know, his name -- Vlad, the Impaler -- came about from his impaling both his own people that he felt to be traitors and the soldiers of opposing armies. He impaled them on large stakes. This line of impaled bodies stretched for miles from the battlefield leading into his town. The impaling was done, in an effort to appall and terrorize the attacking armies, despite the fact that they had Vlad vastly out-numbered. Not too surprisingly ... it worked. They felt he was insane. Horrified by the inhumanity, they simply retreated, with Vlad's army close behind in pursuit. As to Vlad's drinking blood, I personally think he or his men started that story to frighten all who opposed him. However, it was the style of the times to partake of the blood or heart of he whom you had vanquished; providing you believed him to be brave and strong. It was a common practice. It was believed that Vlad made a pact with Satan on the death of his love. That is why Classicals are still believed, in some places, to be servants of the devil and to have come from hell. The pale, gaunt appearance of Classicals, in film and press, is purely fiction brought forward from the beliefs of the day. If you were dead, you shriveled up and lost weight. If you had no blood and were dead or newly dead, you were pale; as in 'Pale as a Corpse', etc. It was once believed a Classical had to drink blood, not only for nourishment but to replenish his blood supply, which he did not have because he was believed to be dead.A Classic, having fed well, is believed to look quite human; rosy cheeks, bright eyes, etc. But when the blood began to dissipate, the corpse-like appearance returned: sunken eyes, gaunt, drawn and with pale skin. The red or yellow blazing eyes comes from the church view that vampires are Minions of the Devil and are from hell. It was believed that Vampires, Classicals especially, could change to any animal, including: large cats, such as tigers, black leopards and black pumas, as well as dogs, wolves, bats or rats; not to mention fog and smoke. After all, they are Demons and can do anything, can't they? Of course not, but that was church view.Real Classicals can only be infected by one who is already infected. The ones who claim to be undead (a fictional term) say they are killed by the draining of blood unto death and then revived into the undead state. This is purely fiction. An newly infected Classical needs to feed immediately, i.e.: to ingest fresh, living blood to restore health, vigor etc. Young ones - newly infected ones, usually have a hard time dealing with the rush of new emotions, strength and mental capabilities. Most do desperately try to maintain at least some of their humanity and it is always a struggle. The real medical evidence suggests that today’s Classicals are infected by the mixing of bodily fluids or blood with the Parent i.e., the Father or Mother who infected them. (Father or Mother does not mean the biological parent, rather it means the Vampire who spread the infection). This causes either a genetic imbalance, because of the mixing of affected DNA, or the effects of enzymes or viruses which slowly affect the changes noticed.Sometime, long ago, a human was infected with the Inheritor retrovirus containing the mutagen. This human's ability to be infected was due to his or her possibly unique body chemistry, or maybe the specific Inheritor's retrovirus had mutated further. This human became the first Classical Vampire. Old writings even speculated that after this human was infected, he/she became ill, as the altered mutagen tried to adapt to the alien body chemistry. But, instead of dying, the first Classical was born. The highly volatile nature of the new mutagen meant more blood was necessary. As the old retrovirus mutagen began reshaping, the human's own unique chemistry adapted the mutagen. Thus, a new breed was born. This may account for the difficulty in creating new Classicals. Perhaps it is only the rare individual with the correct body chemistry who can be infected. As far as infecting children and babies ...As for babies, I think it is not done for several reasons. One is practicality. An adolescent or baby Vampyre is a pointless creation. But mostly because it is impossible. It is believed that certain testosterone or estrogen levels are needed as a catalyst for the retrovirus to infect. Children, before the onset of puberty, lack the appropriate levels. Classicals, like Inheritors, must ingest blood. It is a biological need, not a psychological one. The criticism here is that blood cannot be digested through the human stomach and broken down into proteins and other nourishments. This is indeed true and a medical fact. It is one of the chief reasons why the existence of vampires is disbelieved, as such. However, the point to remember here, is that blood is not broken down into its nutrients in the 'normal human stomach'. Those persons with what medicine calls today, 'The Physical Vampire Condition' do break down the substances. We are not speaking of Porphyria, the illness, here just yet.The Physical Vampire Condition is the term for today's real Classicals, Inheritors, Nighttimers and Genetics. If these people do not ingest blood for real food ... nourishment ... they get progressively weaker, feel ill, experience aches and pains. Even though real Vampires can and do eat regular food as well, if they do not ingest blood, persons with the Physical Vampire Condition will die without blood transfusions. It is a VERY SERIOUS MATTER.Attributes And ProblemsAlmost all true Vampires have the same or quite similar problems, including sensitivity, in varying degrees, to light, heat and sun; even indoor lighting and the lights in night clubs maybe bothersome. Some blister very badly, some deeply burn, some pass out, others suffer heat stroke. Most have Day-Glare Blindness, similar to humans who experience snow blindness or night blindness. Most CAN go out into the day, but really would rather not. All tend to feel ill and weak during the day and better and stronger as darkness descends. And I have known Vampires who have trouble driving at night due to the intensity of oncoming headlights. In truth, real Vampires try to live as normal a lifestyle as they can. And most real Vampires keep away from humans and human affairs, as much as they are able.FEEDINGAhem ... now we get into touchy realms. Real feeding is mostly by bite, but not in the neck. With the nerves, muscles, arteries, and veins it is really dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. The reason for the fictional biting of the neck originated with the true belief that the carotid artery in the neck, where the pulse is normally taken (as opposed to the radial pulse, in the wrist) is the direct arterial link to the heart. It is not a vein, but an artery. The main difference being, when an artery is severed, it will continue to spurt the blood out of the wound with each heartbeat and is very difficult to stop. A vein is smaller in nature, does not spurt with each heartbeat, but flows steadily and will in most cases, stop bleeding on it's own. If direct pressure is applied, or a tourniquet used, it will stop the bleeding fairly quickly. NOT so for an artery, which will pump the blood out of the body with every beat of the heart. This is a much more effective scene for a film, or a play, and easier to access if you want to kill someone quickly. (However, it would be neither advisable, nor practical, to attempt to apply a tourniquet around someone's neck!)Some real Vampires, such as Classicals, and many Inheritors, feel protective toward human friends, mates and feeding sources -- known as 'Sources', 'Donors' or 'Victims'. Most Vampires do not kill their Sources, but do become very territorial about them. They feel possessive, as if they have pure and simple ownership. However, to be fair, many Inheritors do not feel ownership, but perhaps protective and territorial about their human friends and charges.MOST real Vampires consider humans to be food, period. You do not play with, befriend, or have sex with, your food. My husband has said ... 'Having sex with your human Source is like a human having sex with a cow before eating a hamburger.' It is simply not done. However, I know of many who disagree. Today there are rarely real victims. But indeed there are a few. A victim is said to be anyone who is used as a food source without their consent.Donors, or as we call them -- feeding partners -- come out of the woodwork if they know a Vampire or bloodist wants a donor. There is no reason to kill donors. There are alternate ways of feeding, such as, getting your blood from blood banks, by buying it, or stopping people waiting to go in and asking them if they will sell it to you instead. It is not against the law in this country to buy, sell, or ingest blood. But this way you risk AIDS and other nasty things if you are NOT an actual vampire.Animal blood is easily gotten. Any butcher will sell you animal blood; Pig, cow, chicken, sheep, horse, etc. You have to take steps to sterilize it if you are not a true vampire, as you could become ill by contamination. But it is available. If you eat meat, even very well done, you ingest animal blood. A sizzling steak, roast or hamburger -- the sizzle comes from body fat, body fluid, water, and animal blood. Plain and simple. Even if it is cooked to 'leather' the blood is in the cells of the flesh. You eat it, no big deal ... get over it.LONG LIFEAll Vampires live much longer than humans. Classicals, and Inheritors as well, have more physical strength. More efficient nutrient consumption probably leads to this factor. Almost all Vampires are psychic. Not to be confused with Psi~Vamps, i.e. Psychic Vampires. Night-timers and humans are also psychic. Being psychic helps, but it is not really fun. More on this in later lessons.TEMPERAMENTVampires, (no matter how nice they appear to be) if they are REAL, are killers. Killers who choose not to kill. But they are very UNPREDICTABLE and extremely strong. Even if you love a Vampire or befriend one, or they befriend or love you, remember always that Vampires are not human. You must never forget with whom (or what) you're dealing.EGOSSome Vampire's egos are worse than actors' egos. It comes with the territory. Many, but not all, have an arrogant, elitist attitude. Again, it’s just part of their nature, even if they do not consider themselves to be an elitist or superior. Many are devoted and loyal friends and spouses. Many delight in their lifestyle, others hate it. As with humans ... to each his own.THE NEW HUNGERFor the youngest and newly infected ones, they have a condition called 'New Blood' or 'New Bloods'. The surge of developing senses is overwhelming after being infected. The power and temptation to do something to take advantage -- JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN -- is very strong. With sudden surges of strength and psychic ability, many young ones (newly infected vampires) go a little crazy until things level out in their brains and bodies. It is very easy to accidentally injure or even kill someone when one suddenly finds that they literally 'Don't know their own strength.' That is why a newly infected real Vampire is never left alone but constantly guided into the world he has just entered.Classical Vampires all have the same problems and strengths, but Inheritors do not have these problems. Immortal and Eternal. There is really no such thing as immortal. All Vampires can die. Their lives, their existence (whatever you wish to call it) can end. If you drop a safe on a Vampire from a tall building he will probably die.But Vampires do tend to survive bad injuries, regenerate and re-grow some organs and limbs, as well as teeth. It takes huge amounts of fresh, living blood to keep a severely injured Vampire alive -- in other words, lots of donors. This is true for all Vampires, Classicals and Inheritors alike. And now I am going to let you all in on a private joke of sorts. Within the world of the Classical there is an in joke, probably begun by the Inheritors, anyway they began calling the Classicals 'Pales.'Why?The original mythological connection to the Undead myth. A vampire was either dead and just stayed that way or, Undead, given some unholy life by Lucifer. Of course, if you where dead, you where pale, hence the name. Today most Inheritors still refer to Classicals as 'Pales' and many Classicals have taken or adopted the title as their own.It is the 'in' joke of most real Vamp communities. But we must remember, Classicals are not undead, but are living beings.Another in joke, is the term used to distinguish extremely old Classical Vampires. Who are believed to have lived so long in time that they have gone insane. The age of these vampires is unknown, but believed to be older than the oldest Inheritor. The term for this type of vampire is Gaunt. Again, a play on old films and books. The ancient vampires, such as portrayed in the film Nosferatu, are very old and very ugly, unlike the Classicals portrayed in Dracula films by Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee who were more seductive and romantic figures. The age of gaunts is not readily known, it is said they live exceptionally long, thousands of years. But there is no vampiric record, either by Inheritors or Classicals, of what age one might reach. The extreme age, you might say, is likened to older humans who have Alzheimer's and were in past days thought of as being demented or insane. Gaunts are believed to be insane and exceptionally strong. There are several vampire communities, in New York City, who believe there to be at least one Gaunt living deep beneath the subway tunnels of Manhattan. Whether or not this is Urban Legend, I do not know.Letters from a Classical VampireAnd now we have a new addition to this class. Something I never thought would happen. A Classical, i.e. Pale, and I have been corresponding for several years. Though, like most of the Classicals, he usually was reluctant in discussing the war or anything else. Since he knew both an Inheritor official and a high-ranking Classical had asked everyone to no longer include me in conversations of this sort. But once in a while, someone gets tired of holding in his opinion and in very recent letters between this Classical and I he told me how HE felt AND gave me permission to publish those letters on this site. All I can say is he is a very close 'Unnamed Reliable Source' (as the reporters are fond of saying) because I promised to keep his identity shielded. Please note: To help you read these letters more clearly the questions I’ve asked, my letters are in BLACK, and his are in BLUE.I am afraid I can be no help to you for the web site you speak of, but if I could perhaps give a bit of advice on the information contained therein. Remember that all information, unless experienced first hand, has two additional and different possible scenarios as the one you are presented with. I found in reviewing the site that the work, while the intent seems to present an unbiased approach to some of the types of vampires that exist today, weighs heavily one sided with that of the true borne mentality and justification system. You are absolutely right about the site being somewhat partisan. There is a reason for it. The first is, like you, no Classical, i.e. Pale, wants to share their side or their politics with a non-Classical.Once, about 4 years ago, against everybody's advice I invited a Classical who was involved in the civil war to come to our message boards (these message boards exited on America OnLine at the time) to tell his side of it. He could not have come there without my invitation. But I wanted everybody to hear his side because I somewhat sympathized with him. Once he had made his way onto the boards, a stupid human challenged him to prove he was real. Well, you must know the law. He was going to find her and kill her to prove he was real, and he would have had every right under the law to do so. He could not be stopped by legal vampiric law. At least that's what he threatened to do. He also threatened to harm me and to harm C., if N didn't do exactly as he asked. In other words, he blackmailed N. into doing something which undoubtedly changed the course of the war. Because of that many Bornes have died. And as with Nighttimers, Bornes are on the verge of extinction. Which will leave an unbalanced world and humans in peril. There are many points in the Classical's case I agree with. That's why I asked this Classical to speak at our forum. What I got in return for my trust were threats and blackmail. You also should remember that Nighttimers ARE Bornes, and although I do sympathize with many Classical points about the negative aspects of politics and commerce that Classicals face, and the often overwhelming elitist attitude of Bornes, My only contact with a Classical, other than you, and C,. was to be used. Now, I can't totally blame him for this, using me I mean. I actually felt it would happen. And I was warned it would happen. I just did not realize people's lives would be at stake. The person in question, actually told me he had used me. He said the war was a chess game and I was a pawn. Pawns are expendable, and made to be used, to sacrifice. He also said, N and his forces would never win this war because N refused to sacrifice his pawns, and was influenced too much by non-vampire friendships. He also said 'the ends justify the means, any means to get what you need' this Classical needed N to do something he refused to do, so instead of coming onto the boards to honestly tell his side of the events and win human support and perhaps vampire support. My invitation to him brought disaster, because as of now it looks like his predictions were correct. And this is only one reason the site is somewhat partisan. How can you expect me to give information about the 'other' side if no one will tell me? The Classical I speak of forbid anyone from telling me anything after this incident. Over it I lost a friend, got a young girl almost killed, got myself and C. (who is himself a Classical) into a lot of danger. All because I tried to give a Classical a platform from which to air his views.I speak for no others but myself. I have my own views, values, interpretations of law and so forth.Having just said such, I can tell you that every pale also shares this exact same view towards everything in this life cycle. I imagine your friend C. would agree. Truth be told, I do not care for the war, the ways of olde, or the elitist attitudes of anyone. When it comes right down to it, pales have had to fight and claw their way to any goal they desired. It is likely never given to them and in most situations, we do not live in packs or with the one who created us; which as you know is the direct opposite of true bornes. If you would allow for an analogy, pales are the black sheep of the vampire race; the ones who seemingly cause the most problems, etc.Regardless of laws set forth, most pales are not interested in joining the debate. Most simply do not care if anyone believes or sympathizes with them. Most do not need to be accepted or admired or befriended for such acts. Most have little interact with humans, save for a small few they choose to tolerate.Pale numbers vastly outweigh those of the true borne, as I am certain you know, and yet there is still war. To simplify matters to a most basic form and say that this is a war between some seventy or so bornes against thousands of pales seems a bit absurd does it not? The fact is, if there was such misgivings across the board from one species to the next, they would all be gone by now, do you not agree? While information may be hard in forthcoming from all sides to you, I ask that you only look at what lays before you now.Start not with facts and historical data, but from your experiences with your friend C., or other pales. In seeing the individual, you will have in your grasp the beginnings of it all.If this is accurate, why are they still fighting the war, if they do not care for such matters as pertain to the war? And the main issue of the war, the domination of the human race by vampires, economically, politically, and basically only as an on-going food source. This is the lesser of two evils my friend. The fact is, to be quite honest, there are some. a good many, who disagree with the actions of the whole. Many want change, but at what price leaves a bad taste for most. There is war; indeed, I think you would be surprised to see how chaotic it is within this species. It is why there is no progress... but I digress.I cannot tell you how many times I have heard the 'on-going food source' debate. It is a pile of rubbish. Another fact taken out of skew for the benefit of another. We are not monsters. Like all people across this turning stone, we want a fair share; we want what everyone else already has. I have many friends, who are unlike myself, some of whom I cherish most deeply. This is a wonderment to me. Because even though Bornes have given me reasons, I don't understand why Pales haven't won outright. And that's just the problem, I AM looking at what's before me. I can't bring forth discretionary information if no one will give it to me because of the orders of only two men. One Classical and one Borne. It is nothing more than a strategic plan, if you ask me. One does not take out the self-described hero; least they want to make him a martyr, yes? There are so many lines in this twisted rope that many do not understand.I have. That is why I'm in trouble with the Bornes and many of my own kind that are left. For having an affinity and sympathy for the Pale outlook on these matters. And what do we learn from, if we do not learn from history?History has come, and it will pass once more, still these issues will stand. It is nature, survival of the fittest. Once this war and our species have died and been long forgotten, another will stand in its place.Harmony, Peace, Hope. these are things which lay within those who will come a millennium after all of us have gone. Sad. I would enjoy nothing more that the opportunity to visit a friend, sit and talk for an afternoon. Perhaps the next time around... May the days between keep you well. Now we learn about the Inheritor Vampire. Inheritors come in two categories: Class 1 (also called Category 1) and Class 2 (also called Category 2)There is no one language or word in the vampiric community, which describes all of the subspecies of vampires. With the exception of the word 'True Borne', 'Borne', or 'Blue Blood', which is generally taken to mean Class 1, or Category 1, Inheritors.Class 1 comprises the true Inheritors. For, although they are born into their lifestyle, just as are Category 2 Inheritors, they are different in several ways. They are immortal, or what most think of as immortal, living for many hundreds of years. They heal much more quickly. They can be killed but it takes quite a lot to accomplish it. They do regenerate some organs, teeth, fangs, and nerves. I know of one Inheritor who suffers from a degenerative eye disease. The disease will progress to a certain point, then his recuperative abilities will take over and repair the damage. Then the cycle starts over again. Fortunately, the progression of the disease is slow and not painful so he has simply learned to live with it. I am not sure if whole limbs and bones are regenerated. I think perhaps so, but do not know this as a certain fact.Class 1's can go about by day as well, better than the other categories, because they usually are born into a very human state and gradually become aware of the Vampiric growth and changes in their bodies as they age and enter puberty. Thus, often feeling different as they grow into the teen years. They can eat regular foods and beverages for their entire life span. The changes begin at puberty, and slowly, over years forms into the full blown Vampiric Medical Condition. During the first stages of the transformation they begin to feel the need for blood and will begin to feed. At even this early stage, they DO feed for nourishment but continue to eat regular foods. It is a fable that Vampires only feed on blood. Even when they 'mature' into the Vampiric Condition they will continue to eat normal foods throughout their lives. In fact many Vampires enjoy dining in fine restaurants and drinking fine wines. As with most, but not all real Vampires, Class 1's do tend to avoid humans. Some do make good and lasting human friendships though. The Class 1 is what is considered the immortal Vampire, as are the Classicals, but they can die. They just do not do so as often or as quickly.Regarding feeding: Most Class 1 Inheritors disdain 'dead' blood which is frozen or animal blood such as in a steak or piece of liver. They almost always prefer live blood directly from a living source. As with most real Vampires, they lead secretive and secluded lives, making it difficult for humans to get any closer emotionally than the Vampire chooses to permit. As with ALL Vampires they can disappear for long stretches of time. Identities are changed more often than clothes. All of the long-lived Vampire types have a different relationship to, and perception of, time, which is vastly different from most human perceptions. They can become ill, but do so far less often as their recuperative processes are faster and stronger. In mental ability all Inheritors can be, and often are, highly psychic and/or empathic -- as are Classicals. They can do all the things Classicals can do. Perhaps it is they, the Inheritors, about whom the legends are truly speaking. As with all races, Inheritors number the bad, the good, the evil and the saintly among their ranks. But as with all Vampires, they are what they are -- predators, hunters and true to their real natures. To quote a close Vampire friend of mine,'Don't let this pleasant human exterior fool you. Never forget, I am what I am. I'm a killer. That's my nature. I'm a killer. Please don't ever forget that.'Most do maintain their humanity, some do not. All are unpredictable and often difficult for humans to understand. As with all Vampires, if you are human and wish to befriend a Vampire you must accept them for exactly what they are. You cannot attempt to change, cage or have them fit a more human mold or lifestyle. You must be prepared to lose touch often and accept all.For real Vampires accept human friendships on their terms only.Unless you understand and accept these terms as well, you will not be happy as the friend of a Vampire.Someone recently said, 'Missing a Vampire friend is a major occupation for many people.' This is true. If you wish to know about the Inheritors, re-read Classicals.Included in Category 1, is a lesser-known subspecies called Lunas. In some cases of European myth, Lunas may have been mistaken for werewolves. The Luna is sexual, sensual, earthy, and a bit larger than Category 1’s on the whole. Lunas do have some sexual experience with humans, but not often. In all other aspects Lunas are much like Category 1's.In Class 2, or Category 2, we have the Inheritor, who was born into his/her lifestyle. 'To Inherit' is meant to convey a person who was born into the lifestyle and inherited the characteristics, traits, and the infection from someone in his family. However, not necessarily the parents. If, at anytime, anyone born into the family carried the altered Vampiric DNA and accompanying genes, then anyone else born into the family at a later date could inherit those genes and qualities.Category 2 is the human Inheritor, someone born of a purely human parentage (i.e., both parents being totally human) into a genetic Vampiric lifestyle, meaning that they are not immortal, or eternal. But in all, or most, other aspects they are Vampiric. They suffer from the same problems as Classicals, the same feeding styles, the same methods of feeding and the consuming of blood for nourishment.Category 2, Night-timers, age much more slowly but do not live the very long life spans of Classicals or Inheritors Class 1. In all aspects, Category 2's are Vampiric. All the forms of vampires can and do go out in light and sun. But Category 2 Inheritors, as with Classicals, tend to feel weak, sick, tired and ill during the day. The skin is also affected, as Category 2's can get heat stroke, internal body fluids evaporate quickly, they pass out, etc. The skin also blisters and burns very quickly even if they are not fair complexioned. They also feed on fresh and frozen blood, have donor feeding partners and sources, etc.The only real differences are that they are considered human by the medical community, are not immortal, heal more rapidly than humans -- but not as rapidly as Classicals or Inheritors Category 1. They can and do die.The average life span of a Nighttimer is usually between 200 and 300 years.Remember everyone, we are doing our best to keep things real here and separate fact from lie, propaganda, fiction, legend and fantasy.I know much of what you have learned here about Vampires does not fit the standard mold, or legends, or romance novels. That is because this is most real and reality differs greatly from the fantasies of both yesterday and today.Yes, real Vampires have fangs, but some do not.Yes, real Vampires can go out in the daylight/sun, eat food and drink beverages just like you.Yes, they feed on human blood and take it both with and without the permission of the source.Yes, they are psychic and empathic and some are gifted natural healers.Yes, they are highly intelligent.Yes, they hunt and kill.Yes, they are real and do exist.Yes, they are both quite like humans and quite unlike humans.Yes, they keep to themselves and yes, they do not do so. Their lives are difficult and set apart, most are alone but many are not lonely.Yes, they do have both human and other vampire friends.Yes, there are many races of Vampires as there are many races of man.Yes, they are both good and evil, bad and saintly. It all depends on which you are speaking about and the individual Vampire.A few forgotten key points, all Vampires ARE Vampires because they have an altered structured DNA and gene pool. This is known among a limited sector of the medical community and it is this altered DNA and the accompanying genes which make a Vampire a Vampire.Category 2 Inheritors can reproduce their own kind. Category 1 males are sterile but the females can bear live young. Please Note: The real vampiric lifestyle is not a thing of glamour. It is not fun for most Real Vampires. It means years and years of loneliness, watching the few you do love die. Over and over again. And since they live longer, Vampires must endure this loss many more times than the normal human, if they are prone to human friendships. They can often be the subject of harsh prejudice. They run the risk of losing their homes, jobs and friends who do not know what they truly are ... if they are found out. They are forever needing to watch their backs for they are often the prey of all manner of hunters. The misguided religious zealot who truly believes Vampires are a creation of Satan ... as in demon. The human hunter who finds it amusing and rewarding to hunt the most cunning and intelligent of all animals. The Vampire himself, who hunts others of his own kind due to law enforcement or for his/her own reasons. Some of the lifestyle does reflect the romance of the fictional characters because real Vampires tend to be charming, 'the beautiful people,' very well off financially due to centuries of investments, stronger, more personally and politically powerful and quite sure of themselves in every way. Some do indeed lead a privileged lifestyle. But the price they pay for this is higher than any human can perceive. Most Vampires tend to be well educated (they have so many centuries to study and perfect their knowledge in all things) Most Vampires are well read and well traveled. But the price they pay for such a long life span is often living a semi-isolated existence. Which keeps them apart from the love, companionship and closeness felt by their human counterparts. Please note: that in several past updates, the general numbers indicating Class 1s and Class 2s were placed incorrectly on this page. A Class 1 is a true Inheritor, Class 2 is a subspecies of Inheritor, which includes the Nighttimer as an offshoot.Exactly what is a Night-Timer?That is a good question and many Vampires, and those members of the medical profession who are Vampire aware, disagree. Night-timer is a title given to a race of beings who are actually also Inheritors. Although, they are distinguished by the term Night Timer, they are a recognized subset of the Class 2 Inheritor. Which, technically makes them a Bourne or Inheritor Vampire. Night-timers are affected and infected by a much weaker strain of what’s come to be known as the V5 virus.Night-timers Normally Live Much Longer Than Humans: They outwardly age more slowly and stay younger looking in appearance much longer. The average live span of a Night-timer is 200 to 300 years. They look about 80 to 90 at age 300. On the whole, nowhere near as long as the average Classical or Class 1 Inheritor Vampire.Night-timers Can Be Killed: They may be killed by most of the normal ways of killing humans, but not as easily.Night-timers Are Psychic: Usually, they tend to be much more psychic than the average human and, most often are just as psychic as the most skilled Vampire.Night-timers Are Physically Stronger: If healthy, they average three to five times as strong as their counterpart human, but much less powerful than a Classical or Inheritor Vampire at the same stage of life at any given point.Night-timers Have Extreme Sensitivity To Light, Heat And Sun: As their Vampire counterparts suffer, so do Night-timers. They are also prone to eye problems and digestive maladies.Night-timers Consume Blood: As their Classical and Inheritor counterparts, Night-timers consume blood as nourishment, in varying amounts. If they do not do so on some sort of regular basis, they become very weak and prone to illness. Like other Vampires, Night-timers can eat and drink as well as consume blood.Night-timers Function Better After Dark: As with Vampires, Night-timers feel more vigorous, and stronger during the non-daylight hours. As Vampires do, they prefer not to go out during the day. But, as with Vampires, they can and do go out when the need arises.Night-timers Do Not Regenerate Organs: Unlike the Class 1 Inheritor Vampire, who tend to heal faster and regenerate to a greater extent, Night-timers are more like humans in this respect. It was once said that Night-timers inherited the worst of both species. The ailments and other characteristics of both human and vampire without the strength, regenerative abilities, health, or long life of the Vampire.Actually, there are two forms of Night-timer. Those who more strongly resemble Inheritor vampires in their attributes, (they heal faster, are physically stronger, and tend to be more arrogant) and those who more strongly favor humans. That which causes these differences is believed to be the original strength and/or the specific mutation of the infecting virus.Night-timers never get much respect from the Classical or Inheritor communities. Most vampires consider Night-timers to be half-breeds or even think of them as human. Humans think of Night-timers as vampires and insist on calling them vampire. Most vampires, especially Bornes, refuse to recognize Night-timers as vampires, even though Night--timers are born the same way. Usually from human parents or skipping generations and resembling ancestors such as Aunts, Uncles, cousins, etc. Night-timers choose to call themselves Night-timers to help differentiate themselves from true Bornes.Unlike Class 1 Inheritors we are not sterile, but we die. It is difficult for Night-timers to become pregnant and to carry to full term. Many first pregnancies are lost, or the children die very young. So, even though new generations may be sired, the young often die much before maturity, making the race as a whole, sadly doomed to extinction. Mating with humans seems to eliminate the Night-timer qualities or, at least, dilute them even further. And since Class 1 Inheritors are sterile; mating with a Vampire to strengthen the race would accomplish nothing. Many Night-timers have fangs, but many do not. Night-timers feed exactly like Class 1 Inheritors, but whereas Inheritors and Classicals disdain dead blood and prefer their blood pumping live from the vein of a feeding source, many Night-timers exist on animal blood. Which most secure from possible blood donors and butcher shops.Night-timers feed by biting, those who do not have fangs use an appliance called Feeding Fangs. Which are actually dentist quality fangs over a very sharp piece of steel at the point. For reasons explained in the class on Inheritors, else where, most Night-timers feed from the area just above the heart, the breast, the upper arm, upper thigh – both inside and outside thigh – and on the hand. The fangs make small punctures which heal rapidly and resemble freckles when healed.Class 1 Inheritors are mostly immune to human illnesses. They cannot catch AIDs and other varying diseases, but they can pass them on from blood donor to blood donor. (i.e. sources) The Night-timers, even those which resemble Inheritors Class 1, are also susceptible to human illness. That is why most prefer what is known as dead blood. Because it is not pumping from the donor at the time of feeding. Night-timers must be careful to be sure their blood is safe, by heating it or cooking it, or perhaps eating animal organ meats. Such as liver, heart, etc, which usually contain more blood.Due to very popular written and film fiction and animation many people believe there is such a thing as a half vampire, a person born of one vampire parent and one human parent. It is also believed these people are called all kinds of similar names ... Damphoire, vampirell, vampir, daywalker and a host of others originating in works of fiction. There is no such thing as a half vampire, if there where, they would most likely be classified as Night-timers.Genetic Vampires are similar to Inheritor Vampires. In fact, the term Inheritor can be correctly applied to Genetics as well. The difference being, true Inheritors must be born into the lifestyle and inherit their Vampiric abilities and attributes from someone in their family; although it may be several generations removed.Genetics are thought of more as having their chromosomes altered and being carriers of the genes, which are usually transmitted by birth or infection. It is generally believed that real Vampirism stems from an altered physical state, which is influenced by an original viral infection or other deficiency, such as body chemistry, altering due to some form of extreme mutagen. As with Night-timers, It is believed that the infecting virus for Genetics was a much weaker strain than that which infected Bornes/Inheritor Class 1s.In most cases, the modern view is that it is a virus which alters the immune system to produce longer life, greater physical strength, faster healing of an injured or other wise normally infected body. This virus is also believed to affect the bones and organs as a person gradually ages. The aging process is much slower due to the reaction to the virus.Current medical research into the extending of human life, indicates that by altering the chromosomal chain by 'capping' the ends of some of the genes so that the gene does not continue to degenerate, as it normally would, with each succeeding cell division; could possibly result in a vastly increased life span for the normal human -- if not a form of human immortality. It is believed that the physical Vampire, such as the Inheritor and the Classical have already undergone this change in cell division, caused by the 'capped' genes --- due to the results of an infection which is either inherited or spread by one who is carrying it. It is believed, by these researchers, that there may actually be a vaccine against human aging. One shot of this substance into the human body may result in the altered DNA structure and 'capping' of the gene, therefore preventing the deterioration of cell structure that causes aging. It is also believed that the real Vampire has, for centuries, already been undergoing this dramatic alteration. At about 700 years of human age or slightly before, the DNA is so altered that immortality is achieved. Immortality does not mean living forever and never dying. What it means in the case of a vampire is that the life span is so much longer than the human life span, or even the Night-timer life span, that in the early days this was thought of as living forever.Example: in the days of early Rome old age was reached at 30, extreme old age was believed to be 50. Although many lived to past 30 and a few lived to 50, very few lived past 50 years of age.To those Romans our normal life span today of ages ranging from 70 to 100 would be considered immortal. To someone who reached old age at 30 a life span of 100 years, which is more than three times their normal life span, would have been considered immortality, just as Vampires are now considered immortal.Genetics are infected with the virus. Most Genetic males are said to be infertile. Most Genetic females are believed to be able to pass on the disposition. As with anything there are exceptions to all of this. The viral research is very new to the medical community and is not officially recognized. Opinions may change in the future and in fact some medical opinions differ from these stated facts. But the following is thought to be true ...Real Vampirism is a disease, transmitted by a virus. Almost all Vampires have the same needs, symptoms and attributes. The virus may be transmitted by birth or infection. The virus affects gene structure and DNA after a period of time. The more common results are longer life, faster healing capabilities, improved immune systems, the need to ingest blood (diminishing over time), the changes in bone and organ structure over a passage of time, heightened mental and physical abilities, and at this time, no reversal of the process is known. In a sense you could say it is incurable.Genetics live nearly as long as Night-timers, and they too have both more vampiric, and less vampiric, type individuals.Psi Vampires and SymbioticsIn this section we have a short discussion about Psi Vampires and Symbiotics. Both are usually fully human and, while they are related types, they are distinctly different.Psi VampiresWe will discuss Psi~Vampires, also called Psi~Vamps, first because there are simply more of them.Psi~Vamps are people who have the ability to drain away energy in all of its forms. To do so enhances their mental and physical energies as normal feeding would for regular Vampires. A Psi~Vamp may or may not be psychic, in the normal sense, but this use of the terminology means the psychic ability to drain another individual of energy or life forces. It also means such an individual can drain thoughts, emotions, life force, mental and physical strengths.About 50 percent of Psi~Vamps do so automatically without intending to, or even realizing that they are doing so. Everyone has known, or shall know, a person like this, be it a sibling, lover, relative or friend. No matter how little time you spend with them you always feel tired and weak when they leave. The other 50 percent of Psi~Vamps do so with intent. Some do so just to increase their own power, while others view it as a challenge --- a sort of game, to see how much they can take.Like Vampires, Psi~Vamps can sense another of their kind and sometimes attack mentally just to see if the victim feels it or reacts to it. They enjoy the hunt and love the challenge when the victim feels it and tries to block or responds in kind. Then it becomes more than a Battle of Wills. There is no magic attached to this, it is pure mental and psychic energy and force of will. One of the prevailing beliefs is that the Psi~Vamp attacks from the Astral Plane ... controlling the Astral State and his/her own Astral Body. Another view is that the Psi~Vamp is in some way ill or unable to maintain their own energy levels for some reason, so they draw energy either unconsciously or deliberately from another to sustain their own energies. This does not mean the Psi~Vamp or Symbiot is a creature or spirit or anything else living on, or originating from, the psychic plane. By doing so he/she can launch an attack upon the Astral Body of anyone else. By eliminating negative energy, such as can be seen in auras, the Psi~Vamp can actually heal. Some Psi~Vamps care very little that the energies they are draining could seriously hurt their prey. Especially if the victim is weak from illness, injury or is in a diminished mental state due to mental illness, physical illness or severe depression. By feeding on these victims, the loss of both physical and mental energies to the extreme, could cause death. It is believed that some very rare Psi~Vamps try to make themselves immortal by preventing what some call the 'second death'. They claim there is a second death which is the death of the Astral Body which occurs shortly after the death of the physical body.It is also generally believed, that in these rare instances, if this state of increased physical energy to the astral body is sufficient, the astral body of the Psi~Vamp could possibly be freed, upon the death of the physical body and yet maintain its own separate 'living' (i.e.: continuing) astral state. In so doing, the astral body of the Psi~Vamp would then be free to continue the drawing off of energies of both astral and physical bodies of those remaining alive. In a sense, gaining a true immortality.Involuntary Psi~Vamps often do not realize they are draining the energies of those around them. It is thought that these people do so on a non-conscious level. In many cases the involuntary Psi~Vamp is, in some way, ill or in some sort of diminished capacity. The energies being drawn from those around them may be an automatic action taken by their own astral bodies in an effort to gain strength to preserve or create a more healthful state for its own physical body.SymbioticsThis is perhaps the other side of the coin, as Symbiotics, or Symbiosis, is a form of Psi~Vamp. But instead of feeding off of the life force, and physical and mental energies, this Vampire feeds off of the spiritual energies and electro-bio-chemical energy found in a person's aura. Feeding off this energy can also have a negative effect on the source. However, this Vampire is known for draining the negative energies away from or off of the aura, allowing these energies to be naturally replaced by the person's own individual auric replacements.Example: A person is ill or weak, his aura is black, gray or greenish yellow, or perhaps purple. If a Symbiotic begins to drain off this energy, the person's own recuperative powers become stronger and the physical, mental or spiritual healing may proceed at a faster pace. Most Symbiotics do what they do with intent -- unlike their cousin the Psi~Vamp, only a few do so unawares. Psi~Vamp is short for Psychic Vampire. Again, a Symbiotic may be a real Vampire ie, Classical, Inheritor, Night-timer, etc. or a human. The term Vampire is used in this case mainly because there is a draining or feeding, even though most regular Vampires are not Symbiotics or Psi~Vamps. Any human may be a Symbiotic or Psi~Vamp. The victims are not usually aware of a Symbiotic, as the results usually makes the so called victim feel much better. Most Psychic Vampires and Symbiotics are not blood feeders, and therefore are not generally considered true Vampires. The term psychic, as in having ESP or other psychically related qualities, does not in this instance refer to a Psi~Vamp. Most humans are indeed psychic to some extent, in the normal use of the word. Because they are human, Psi~Vamps and Symbiotics may indeed also display some degree of psychic ability but, the term Psi~Vamp or Psychic Vampire does not relate to this characteristic. Most Psi~Vamps can see auras easily, or may be trained to do so. Where in general, most bloodist Vampires do not have that capability but may be able to develop it. True Vampires, on the other hand, do tend to be highly psychic in the true sense of the term, as a normal function of their being. Psi~Vampires tend to be human, have normal human life spans and, except where already discussed, are not immortal in the normal sense of the word.As with humans, and vampires, Psi~Vamps come in all types of personalities. There are good, there are games-players, and there are evil people, just as with any other society. Most Psi~Vamps who are intentional, for one reason or another, but do not seek to harm anyone in their efforts to gain energy to sustain themselves. Many automatic Psi~Vamps desperately wish to stop draining others but it is something they can’t control, and if they could control it, or stop it, it could be detrimental to their health. The majority of Psi~vamps and Symbiots should be seen in a positive light, because most of all they are people, just like everyone else.Originally a Fetish was used in magic, for healing and many other positive things. Today a fetish is something that is often used purely for sexual stimulus. The word in modern day usage has more often come to mean a deviant behavior, a sexual act to help gain arousal or completion. It can be anything such as a pair of shoes, somebody's underwear, an old blanket you had as a child, or blood. Your own, or someone else's. With a blood fetish, it means someone who 'needs' the presence of blood during the sexual act, either their own blood or that of a partner.A Bloodist is a person who partakes of human or animal blood, but generally not for a sexual purpose. Anyone who partakes of the blood of another is a Bloodist. Bloodists often call themselves vampires, or are called vampires by outsiders and the uninformed.Recently, many bloodists have begun calling themselves Sanguinariuns to differentiate themselves from Viral and other Vampires. They will also often call themselves 'Living' or 'Human' vampires amongst themselves. Their intake of blood comes from what they see as a sense of sharing each other's life force, as a gift of love and/or general fun. Some Sanguinariuns/Bloodists are also fetishists, needing the blood to begin sexual arousal.Sanguinariuns/Bloodists usually take the blood of another from the lower or upper forearm, on top of the breasts near the heart, the abdomen, inner thigh or other places they feel comfortable with. The blood is usually obtained using phlebotomist equipment, or assortments of knives, razors and such.Sanguinariuns, Bloodists and Fetishists are not truly Vampires.Sanguinariuns/Bloodists are humans who enjoy feeding from one another. They do not have the Vampire Medical Condition and they do not necessarily have the psychological problems so often attributed to sexual fetishists. Bloodist are not infected with the Retrovirus commonly attributed to all Vampires in today's modern medicine.Sanguinariuns/Bloodists do not need blood to survive, as in nourishment, the way real and true medical vampires do. They simply have made a life style out of sharing one another's blood for pleasure, intimacy or some other form of bonding and closeness. Bloodists do often have both blood and sex, or just the 'blooding' which in many cases replaces the passion of sex itself.Again, I remind you that these are NOT vampires, because they are not infected with the virus and do not have the Vampire Medical Condition. However, many still tend to call themselves vampires because they actually physically take blood from one another.Bloodists obtain their blood from donors and friends. Usually they do so by slicing with a razor, scalpel or other device included in the design of various pieces of jewelry. Blood pumps and needles are also used, but biting is seldom employed by either Bloodists or fetishists. Most often these arrangements are consensual, but very dangerous. Such practices can lead to infections and transmitted illnesses of the blood. There are many things just as bad as AIDS which can be carried in the blood of an infected person. Illnesses that lay dormant, then strike months or years later ... all just as serious and many just as deadly. And all of which can be passed on to you and by you ... if you contract them without knowing it.The safest thing is to NOT take part in this pretend vampirism, but if you must, then be sure you and your blood partners have valid lab tests before you proceed. Go with that person so you can be sure it is their actual blood and urine samples that are given to the lab.If you are going to be so ignorant and primitive to use a razor or needle, be sure it is sterilized with heat and alcohol before and after every usage. Do not share used needles and do not use a razor that is not completely sterilized each and every time. But the best way to stay safe is to keep away. Don't even begin. You are human ... and so are they. Humans can die. This is a condensed combination of the Vampire Creation Myth. To my knowledge, there are five, three of which I have seen. All are based on Native American myth but two are based on 'The Book of Enoch' (about the fallen angels and the Watchers). To save time I have condensed the non-Christian ones here. To my knowledge the basis for these myths are deeply rooted in the religious lore and Shamanism of the Lakota Sioux, Cherokee and Black Foot Nations. The MythThere was once a brave and powerful Medicine Man and Healer who was kind and ruled his tribe with love. His brother was the Chief of the Ten Tribes. The Medicine Man loved a maiden named Laughing Sky. He and his love were wed and they lived among their people in peace and harmony with all. But Laughing Sky was barren and brought forth no children. One day the Medicine Man, in his anguish for the lack of a son, raised his head and challenged the Great Spirit. He declared that he would no longer obey all things, if he where not given a son.But the Great Spirit was deaf to his plea and listened not.As the days passed Laughing Sky grew old and the end of her child bearing time drew nigh. In desperation, the Medicine Man turned to the more negative spirits for aid in making Laughing Sky fertile. He did things forbidden and one sad day opened a portal by the use of magick, through which entered a dark spirit named Jumlin.Jumlin was a strong and dominant negative spirit who sought life in the living dimension of the Earth and tricked the Medicine Man to bring him forth. He promised in payment for bringing him out of the Spirit Realm into the world that he would bestow the Medicine Man with many healthy sons and daughters to enrich his later years.Jumlin promised the Medicine Man that Laughing Sky would bring forth to bare a beautiful and healthy son nine months after the Medicine Man granted Jumlin's desire to be brought from the Realm of Spirit Shadows into the Living World. The Medicine Man complied.Even though to do so was forbidden, the Medicine Man brought the Spirit of Jumlin into the world. But Jumlin had fooled the great Medicine Man. Jumlin had shielded much of his power and once across the Divide, he possessed the Medicine Man, going into his heart, mind and body.Jumlin was a hard and cruel spirit, dominant and hungry. He fed on blood of living things. First the animals of the forest, then the horses and finally on the people of his tribe. As the Medicine Man, Jumlin had power and control of his people. He first selected the strongest of Braves to feed upon and in his hunger and blood lust fed from them unto their deaths. The Medicine Man's brother, the Chief, and his people lived in fear. As Jumlin continued, his physical and mental powers grew stronger until none dared to resist him.The stronger he became the more he took advantage of those weaker. Then one day he stopped feeding from the males and went into the female population of his village, doing as ever he liked or willed with their minds and bodies as he fed.As with the males he satisfied himself fully with the women ... most died. In the spring, those who did not die, became with child and there where many new births in the village, all healthy, robust children. The young, and older, braves, even though terrified, hated their Medicine Man more and more as he did as he pleased to their wives and daughters, sisters and nieces. As the days grew into summer, Jumlin's appetites increased. He was now unstoppably strong in all ways and became even more negative. All lived in dreadful fear as woman upon woman and then the female children began to die of Jumlin's cruelty and feeding. As fall approached the men of the tribe could stand it no more and despite their fears, they sent two messengers to a nearby tribe to consult their medicine man. They were told that their Medicine Man was no longer he whom they had known, but the evil Spirit Jumlin. And they learned the ancient methods for his destruction, for now, no more could he be killed as a mortal man is killed. When they returned, after several months, they found Jumlin's spouse large with child and very ill. She lived to bring forth into the world Jumlin's child, who was called Laughing Bear.Soon after giving birth, Laughing Sky fell into Child Bed Fever and the braves banded together in a plot to destroy Jumlin. But he was aware of it at once.He killed Laughing Sky and drained her of her blood and did the same to the leader of the young braves as the warrior slept.Jumlin took his son, several of the other children and their mothers in the dead of night and escaped. He gave the women and their children to several braves in various villages to buy their protection for a time as he made his way across the plains. After a time only he and Laughing Bear rode together. Laughing Bear soon grew to be as cruel and indulgent as his father.Several months hence, they came to yet another village where they stopped to rest. As Laughing Bear slept, Jumlin went abroad into the night as was his want. This time his feeding was more vicious than ever and his victim was the chief's eldest daughter. As Jumlin, deep in a blood lust frenzy, partook of her, he was discovered by her father and three of the Hunters who had been following them all these months. Jumlin was killed, or actually destroyed, by the magic knowledge of the Hunters, but Laughing Bear escaped.Laughing Bear and his brothers and sisters, begot by Jumlin, are said to be living to this day. Breeding with humans and their own kind to produce the first race of Inheritors. They are physically powerful, live eternally and are negative in nature. They are both the first Vampires and the ancestors of the first Vampires. And they walk the Earth today. So said the three Native American Myths.Another Cherokee Vampire MythU`TLÛÑ'T&Au ml; ~ A VAMPIRE FROM CHEROKEE FOLKLOREAmong the Cherokee there is a legend of a terrible bloodthirsty ogress who slaughters people and eats their livers.Known as the U`tlûñ'ta, this she-creature can adopt any shape or appearance to suit her purpose, but in her right form she looks very much like an old woman, except that her whole body is covered with a skin as hard as a rock that no weapon can penetrate. On her right hand she has a long, stony forefinger made from hard bone, shaped like an awl or the head of a spear. She uses this ghastly weapon to stab whomever she encounters.Because of this fearsome weapon she is called U`tlûñ'tä, or 'Spear-finger'. Some people call her Nûñ'yunu'ï, or 'Stone-dress' because of her stony skin.By whatever name she is called, though, this vengeful and bloodthirsty creature is to be deeply feared.Sexual VampiresAny Vampire, or human for that matter, can be a Sexual Vampire. Anyone who preys upon another for sexual needs, desires or favors, is called a Sexual Vampire. But only if that person takes more than they give in return. We have all met them, male and female alike. They will use sex as a tool, a bribe, a force to gain what they want. Or use another person for their sexual needs, gratification, dependency or actual body flesh. These people will do anything to get what they desire; lie, promise, pretend, but in the end they care only for themselves. Once having attained their goals, they usually just leave the relationship not caring a fig for the feelings, needs or situation of the person left behind. However, this is not what we are speaking of when we say Sexual Vampire in this context. Here we mean the actual Vampire, be it a blood drinking Vampire or an energy Vampire. The real Sexual Vampire is not that different from the Social Sexual Vampire described above. But in this case the Vampire is usually psychic, to a degree. First we look at the regular blood Vampire, either Classical or Inheritor, both male and female.Like the Social Vampire, the real Vampire is out for what he or she can get with little regard for their victim, and victim is the proper terminology here. The Vampire will often use psychic strength to woo the victim, to make the person, usually human, become attracted to them, like them, want them. They also have been known to cajole, threaten, beguile, and use flattery as a tool -- as the Social Vampire will do.The Sexual Vampire feeds off of the sexual energy, the sexual need, the dependence of their victims once a secure relationship is established. Most real Vampires do not have sex with humans, as I have stated before. Well, actually my husband has stated, 'Having sex with a human before or after feeding is like a human having sex with a cow before eating a hamburger.' Every Vampire I personally know, whom I believe to be real, has the same attitude. But there are a few Vampires who do indulge in the physical sexual experience.Once a relationship is established they do everything they can to cement the bond. They pick a person who is vulnerable. Someone who just came from an abusive relationship, someone who has been alone for a long time. Someone not described usually as beautiful or attractive, someone perhaps very over weight or who has no close ties. Very young or inexperienced people, etc. because these individuals are easier to conquer. Then the Vampire becomes the perfect mate, everything the person could ever have dreamed of; kind, generous, caring, loving, involved etc. However, this is all a ploy, as the Vampire uses his or her psychic ability to bond and hold fast his prey, until the person is convinced they cannot live with out this special person. All the while and even more after, this Vampire is feeding on the sexual emotions, energies and desires of the victim. In reality this Vampire cares nothing for the person. It is a hunt, and the Vampire is enjoying the hunt, the capture, the conquest and the prize of their labors -- and the emotions. The same is true with some Psi-Vamps, but in that case the actual physical energy from the sexual experience is fed upon more then the act or the emotions. When the Vampire is satisfied he/she now has this person fully controlled, he/she begins to be not so nice, not so loving, hinting or boldly stating that if this person does not do exactly what the Vampire wants, he/she will leave. Another scenario is acting like some little thing done by the person is a great crime and that the person is lucky they bother to stay at all. By now the poor victim is so hooked by their love and need for the Vampire, and they are truly helpless under this threat of the loss of the relationship -- loss of the Vampire in their life. So they agree to anything, such as sex acts they do not like, the fact that they now may be expected to support this person and pay their bills or buy them expensive things. How does that differ from the same maneuver by the Social Vampire? In the case of the real Vampire, the human victim has no chance, of having their pa
