The Sulphur Springs News-Telegram invites its patrons to a ribbon cutting, hosted by the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce, at noon Wednesday at the newspaper’s office, 401 Church St.
The ribbon cutting will celebrate the News-Telegram’s introduction into the Southern Newspapers Inc. family. The transaction took place on May 1.
“We are excited to have the chamber host this event for the newspaper and its readers,” said News-Telegram Publisher Butch Burney. “Our readers have noticed some changes in the newspaper, and more are still to come.”
The News-Telegram recently joined the Chamber of Commerce as its own entity following the purchase of the daily newspaper, along with Country World, Down Home Living magazine and Hopkins County Neighbors shopper.
News-Telegram employees and staff will be on hand to meet visitors and provide tours of the building.
