Summer is here and this month, we at SPICE are out to celebrate it. And there’s no better way to celebrate this fun time of the year, than to wear one of the season’s hottest trends – floral print.

The bold, blossoming design has been around for as long as we can remember and does not seem like it will be disappearing from the fashion scene any time soon, so why not embrace your femininity this weekend and showcase some of your own flower power dressing?

Whether you want to rock daisies on your dress or tulips on your trousers, we guarantee there’s a style and pattern to suit your taste – just look to some of our favourite celebrities, who have been spotted working some pretty pieces, for inspiration;

MTV Base Africa’s VJ and actress, Stephanie Coker looked gorgeous and ready to rock her promo shoot for her fashion and lifestyle radio show “Baileys Boutique,” which she co-hosts with designer Veronica Ebie-Odeka. The witty star wore a black and white floral Spring/Summer’14 skirt by House of Nwocha and paired it with a white one shoulder top, a bold flower necklace and multicoloured pastel heels… Fashion at its finest, or what?

Over at the MTV MAMA’s, which took place in Durban last month, DJ Cuppy was pictured on the red carpet looking sweet and stylish, too. The fast-rising DJ and daughter of Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola donned a sleeveless, colourful, floral Mary Katrantzou skater dress that gave her an instantly chic appearance, and she accessorised the look with gold heels and a beautiful chunky necklace. We just love how she wore her infamous updo with the look, letting the beauty of her face glow together with the dress. #Gorgeous.

And lastly, singer Kelly Rowland stunned in a floral, flared midi dress at a Taco Bell Foundation for Teens event. The multi-platinum, Grammy award winner and former Destiny’s Child member looked sophisticated and snug as she paired the dress with a white angora cardigan, we can’t get enough of  her low-heeled Valentino pumps, either. She definitely dressed well for the reserved occasion, which set out to help teens in America graduate and have a successful future.
