Summary:
Oikawa Tooru graduated high school with the burning desire to succeed in his college career. He’d hoped that might include taking down his arch-nemesis along the way, but when he finds that his college team hosts an offensively familiar face, he can’t help but think that the universe might be conspiring against him. After all, what could be worse than playing on the same team as Ushijima?
So a month ago I had this conversation with @mysecretfanmoments.
Well that “fun and low pressure” thing turned into a 30k+ behemoth as 100 words at a time became 1000 words at a time and excited sharing and laughing and really, its been one of the most effortless, enjoyable writing experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the ‘Find an idea that you and your friend find equally hilarious and then write a hundred words about it” writing technique. It’s pretty awesome.
This story is a loose Pride & Prejudice AU, meaning that we shamelessly stole a lot of the tropes of that story but not all the plot points. You don’t need to be an Austen fan to enjoy the fic. Post-canon, Same Team Drama, Teen and Up rating. Fic will be posted in two parts + an epilogue. I really hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed making it!
