Spring is a time of optimism and renewal for everyone, and Ohio golfers will enjoy an abundance of both.

Golfers living in and around Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland will all enjoy the launch of nonstop service to Myrtle Beach in April, opening the fairways of America’s most popular golf destination to residents of the Buckeye State.

This will mark the first time Ohio’s three largest cities have simultaneously enjoyed nonstop service to Myrtle Beach, a luxury that will turn a 10+ hour drive into a short flight, bringing you closer to top rated Myrtle Beach golf courses. All three routes feature flight times that provide a late afternoon return from Myrtle Beach, allowing a day of departure round of golf.

Spirit Air will launch its new nonstop service from Cleveland to Myrtle Beach on April 16, giving golfers a chance to celebrate the close of another “tax season.”

The flight will originate out of Cleveland at 2:20 p.m. and arrive in Myrtle Beach at 4:02 p.m. The return flight will depart Myrtle Beach International Airport at 5:05 p.m. and land in Cleveland at 6:48 p.m.

Allegiant Air provides nonstop flights from Columbus and Cincinnati. The Columbus flight began on April 9 with a 4:31 p.m. flight that arrived in Myrtle Beach at 5:56 p.m.  Golfers leave Myrtle Beach at 6:36 p.m. and arrive home at 8:07 p.m.

The Cincinnati route, which launched on April 10, leaves the Queen City at 2:31 p.m. and arrives in Myrtle Beach at 3:59. The return flight departs the Grand Strand at 4:39 p.m. and returns home at 6:17 p.m.

The new flights provide an ideal conduit between Myrtle Beach and one of its primary feeder states. Ohio golfers have long flocked to the Grand Strand to enjoy good times on and off the course.

Myrtle Beach is home to more than 50 4-star courses, according to Golf Digest, and 13 area layouts have been ranked among the nation’s top 100 public courses in recent years

Courses like the Dunes Golf & Beach Club, Grande Dunes, the layouts at Barefoot Resort and Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, provide golfers the opportunity to play some of the best courses America has to offer.
