Restaurant Week Myrtle Beach offers samplings of favorite area restaurants at discount prices.

Restaurant Week Myrtle Beach, a local celebration of the culinary options of the Grand Strand, features special menus and discounts at a variety of area eateries.

Part of Restaurant Week South Carolina, the event runs from Jan. 10-20, 2013. Participating restaurants include:

Brentwood Restaurant & Wine Bistro, 4269 Luck Ave., Little River
Price: $25/person plus tax and gratuity
The Meal: Choose from Pear & Blue Cheese Salad, Warm Goat Cheese Salad, Wild Mushroom Bisque or French Onion Soup for the first course. Second course options include: Chicken Brentwood, served with sautéed mushrooms, baby spinach, Mornay sauce and chef's potato; Flounder Almondine, served with jasmine rice, toasted almonds, sautéed vegetables and lemon butter sauce; Pork Filet Calvados with caramelized apples, chef's potato and apple brandy demi; Salmon au Tarragon with jasmine rice, sautéed vegetables, lime and Tarragon sauce; or Butternut Squash Ravioli with roasted chestnut and Parmesan cream sauce. Third course selections are French Apple Tart a la Mode, Blueberry Bread Pudding, Fondant au Chocolat or Raspberry Sorbet.

The Meal: Enjoy Fried Green Tomatoes with sweet bacon relish, avocado mayo and micro greens for your starter. Entrees include a choice of Award-Winning Mahi Mahi served with corn maqu Choux, fennel onion salad and spicy tomato sauce; Roasted Natural Chicken with savory bread pudding, broccolini and pan gravy; or Flat Iron Steak with steak fries and salsa verde. Dessert is Deep Dish Caramel Apple Pie.

The Meal: For an appetizer, you'll have The Bruschettas, a house specialty served on fresh crostinini. Choose from a Classic Caesar with housemade dressing and croutons or a Traditional Wedge with diced tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, bacon bits, candied pecans and blue cheese dressing. Entrees include Pennies Alla Vodka served with a rich vodka-tomato sauce and sliced Italian sausage; Somewhere Up Stream, an Atlantic salmon filet with a buerre blanc sauce and asparagus-tip champagne risotto; Veal Brando served with sautéed mushrooms, butter and Marsala wine over a bed of pasta; or Prohibition Barrel, a tender center barrel cut filet of beef topped with garlic herb butter and served with a baked potato and the chef's vegetable of the day. The Meal: For your first course, choose from Low Country She Crab Soup made with crab, heavy cream, paprika and sherry or Roasted Pears with Blue Cheese served with a port wine vinaigrette and spiced candied pecans. The second course is a choice between Flat Iron Steak served with mashed potatoes, spinach, tomato jam and bourbon bacon glaze; Shrimp and Grits with fried green tomatoes, spinal and black BBQ sauce; or Bistro Chicken with Boursin cheese, sundried tomatoes, prosciutto, spinach and pasta. For dessert, select any slice of cake from the Croissants bakery case.

The Meal: Start off with Drunken Jack's World Famous Hushpuppies with honey butter. Choose from Clam Chowder, She Crab Soup, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters Rockefeller, or Southwest Chicken Eggroll. When you've polished off your appetizers, take a trip to the salad bar. Entree selections include Fresh Catch, Anglers Platter, Sirloin & Shrimp, Shrimp & Grits, Baked Stuffed Flounder, Casey's Southwestern Chicken; or a 10 oz. Centered Cut Pork Chop. For dessert, choose from Key Lime Pie, Black Joke Pie or Bread Pudding drizzled with creme Anglaise.

Entrees include your choice of Grilled Tenderloin Tips with a glaze of maple, soy, ginger and garlic; Sauteed Chicken Breast with spinach, sundried tomatoes, goat cheese and pine nuts; Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef with au jus; Sesame Seared Salmon with a soy, ginger, wasabi and apricot glaze;  or Sauteed Shrimp with Stone Ground Cheddar Cheese Grits. The Meal: Start with your choice of Steak House Salad featuring iceberg, arugula and baby lettuces with grape tomatoes, red onions, garlic croutons and choice of dressing or Louisiana Seafood Gumbo made with a deep, dark roux, onion, celery, garlic, bell pepper, okra, shrimp, crabmeat and andouille sausage. For your entree, choose from Filet & Shrimp, which is a 6-ounce version of Ruth's Chris filet served with blackened and grilled jumbo shrimp; a Stuffed Chicken Breast, which is oven roasted and stuffed with garlic-herb cheese and served with lemon butter; or a Salmon Fillet, which is broiled and served with lemon, butter and parsley. The Meal: The first course includes a choice of Foraged Mushroom Soup with crispy shallots or Baby Greens with radish, pickled vegetables and a honey-thyme vinaigrette. Second course offers a choice of Local Fish served with a cauliflower puree, baby kale and a preserved lemon reduction; Roasted Duck Breast, which is cherry wood smoked and served with sweet potato and cherry hash and arugula; or Grilled Terras Major Steak served with shrimp frito misto, herb puree and onion jus. Choose from Chocolate Mousse with almonds and honey or Brown Sugar Ice Cream with pecans, macaroon and bourbon caramel for dessert.
