PHILADELPHIA, PA. (June 3, 2014) — The Philadelphia Eagles welcomed local student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher at an awards ceremony on Tuesday. Each student-athlete received an Eagles Top Achiever certificate, a polo shirt, an autographed football, a group photo and a tour of the NovaCare Complex and Eagles locker room. Those with the highest GPAs from each school were be invited to spend a day at Eagles Training Camp as a VIP. Here’s an inside look at the evening in photos.

The evening was emceed by “Eagles Insider” host Dave Spadaro and included addresses from Eagles GM Howie Roseman, Eagles Chief of Staff James Harris, Eagles Special Teams Coach Matt Harper and Eagles Linebacker Conner Barwin. Each spoke about their own lives and how academics and making solid choices off the field put them in the best position to become a part of the NFL. The speakers also stressed that on the field is only one way to reach the NFL and that those with a great education and dedication can make it to the NFL in other capacities.
