Opera at Florham is set to present its next Musicale, “Holiday Music Celebration,” on Sun., Dec.4, at 2 p.m. in Lenfell Hall, The Mansion. The Concert’s program will feature professional vocalists performing the familiar, classical and traditional songs for the holiday season from various cultural heritages.

Festive entertainment will be provided in the lobby before the show at 1 p.m. by a trio ensemble with music to celebrate the holiday season. Audience and artists alike are welcomed to join in a holiday  sing-a-long as part of the second half of the show.

The Musicale will take place at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus in Madison. The venue, Lenfell Hall, located in Hennessy Hall, was the drawing room of the Twombly family when they lived in the 100-room mansion.

This concert will be a departure from the usual Opera at Florham Musicales of Opera Arias and Songs in that the familiar songs and music of the holiday season will be presented.

The Ian Howell’s Trio, an instrumental ensemble composed of Jeff Cierniak on bass, Luke Schaffel on drums and Ian Howell on keyboard will perform earlier at 1 p.m. with some lighter seasonal favorites in the Grand Lobby of The Mansion before the formal program begins at 2 p.m.

Come give the gift of your presence as part of our Opera of Florham family and lend us your wonderful voice for the sing-a- long, to kick off and celebrate this holiday season in OAF style!

Soprano Mia Pafumi and baritone Jason Zacher will be presenting a program of classical and contemporary holiday fare culminating in a traditional OAF sing-a-long.  Light refreshments will be served at intermission with the chance to mingle and meet the artists.

Attendees are encouraged to bring children and grandchildren, who will be given the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the artists. Children as always admitted free of charge and must be accompanied by an adult.

The performance has been made possible in part by funds from the Morris Arts Council through the New Jersey State Council of the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
