Last chance to get discounted tickets to an insider’s look at six private gardens in Chatham and
Harding Township on Sat. June 4, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost of the garden tour is $40 if
purchased in advance, and $50 the day of the tour. Tickets may be purchased online at

The 2016 Glorious Garden Tour, which benefits Senior Services of the Chathams, boasts
impressive professionally landscaped properties, as well as a few gardens designed and curated
by the homeowners themselves. This biannual fundraiser is organized and presented by the Board
of Trustees and friends of Senior Services of the Chathams.
The garden tour offers inspiration in the form of magnificent expansive gardens as well as
smaller-scale, do-it- yourself gardens. Highlights include patio gardens designed to lure
butterflies, hummingbirds and dragonflies, herb gardens that provide fresh ingredients for
cooking, lovingly maintained shade gardens, beautiful bluestone paths, and inviting arbors.
One four-acre property features a swimming pool, an ornamental flower garden, a bog garden
with a wooden bridge, and grand landscaping showcasing a fountain, garden sculptures, and
formal koi pond.
The weekend festivities kick off with a fabulous cocktail party at a beautiful Chatham Township
home on Fri., June 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cocktail party is open to the public, but
reservations are required and space is limited. The price is $50 per person. Professional art and
custom jewelry designed by two of the homeowners will be on display at the cocktail party Friday
