On April 18, Camp COLEY will hold its annual Fun Day Open House at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. This year’s theme is Halloween! Meet Camp COLEY staff, leaders and CITs (counselors in training) and enjoy a great day of food and spooktacular fun. Fun Day is open to all boys and girls grades three through twelve, and their parents. No need to be a Scout to attend. The cost is $5 and includes Halloween themed activities and camp games, camp songs, BBQ dinner, parent session and an evening campfire with s’mores! Fun Day registration forms are on the website www.campcoley.com. Camp COLEY is a week-long overnight camp open to girls and boys entering grades three through twelve, and offers a fully supervised day and night program. Age appropriate activities include swimming, boating, first aid, ecology, outdoor skills, hiking, crafts, rock climbing, all-terrain vehicles, shooting sports, COPE, sports, games, songs, campfires and a Thursday night dance with a DJ. Campers are divided by grade level and gender, and are supervised by Camp COLEY counselors as well as the Boy Scout staff as they visit the various program areas throughout camp. Campers sleep in two person tents on cots. Shower facilities are provided and hot meals are provided daily in the dining hall. Camp is held at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation, Camp Somers in Stanhope. Camp COLEY is an Exploring Post with Learning for Life, Patriots Path Council, Boy Scouts of America.
