In early 2014 I subscribed to my first ever beauty boxes, and after a month or two I swiftly cancelled them as I was left less than impressed with what I received which was a real shame. What I like about beauty boxes is how they offer you a chance to try products you never have before and even though I live in Central London, within walking distance to every department store - I never seem to have time to make it there and try the perfumes, which then means that I don't seem to change my 'signature scent' very often.

The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club* is a different type of beauty box, as instead of being monthly - it's quarterly and comes at the great price of just £5.00 which is an absolute bargain. Now, if you're the type of person who regularly frequents the beauty halls, and is always picking up new samples of perfume then this likely isn't the subscription box for you. However, if like me, you find yourself not having the time or energy to make it to the store, or are just looking for a smaller sized bottle of perfume to carry about with you - then this may be ideal.

The Box I received was'The Classic Collection' which features 10 vials of classic best selling scents. The box contains a mixture of both male and female, which is quite sweet as it gives you the option to share, or pass a few onto friends. As well as containing fragrance samples, the box contains a booklet which is packed full of money off vouchers - totaling £60 which will certainly come in handy if you discover a scent you really enjoy.

In total, the box contained the following Samples -

Jimmy Choo Original EDP

Thierry Mugler Angel EDT

PacoRabanne Eau My Gold EDT

Nina Ricci Nina EDT

Givenchy Very Irresistible EDTGivenchy Very Irresistible EDT

Lacoste Touch of Pink EDT

Jean Paul GaultierClassiqueEDP

BOSS BOTTLED EDT

PacoRabanneInvictus EDT

Issey Miyake L’eauD’Issey Pour Homme EDT

I was incredibly impressed with the quantity and range of samples in the box, and also the fact that as this was a special 2nd Birthday edition box, a bonus item in the box was a mini bottle of Estee Lauder Modern Muse perfume... although I am sad to say that after taking the bottle out of the box and putting it in my make up bag, it did then proceed to leak the contents over all my make up and I didn't get to try it once - although my make up did smell pretty.

I'm pleased to say that after showing The Discovery Club Box* and it's contents to my partner - we did then order one for my mother for Christmas as it's the type of thing she would love, and although the first box didn't arrive in time for her before Christmas, I'm sure she'll love it when it arrives in the post and at £5 a box, I may just join the club myself too!
