Twitter.com is a fun way to stay connected to the lives of celebdom’s most colorful personalities. It’s also the perfect platform for stars to give each other a piece of their minds – and for fans to watch the action live. On August 11, Kendrick Lamar was on the receiving end of a number of less-than-positive tweets after dissing several fellow rappers in a controversial verse. But he’s not the only music star to find himself embroiled in Twitter warfare.

Here’s a breakdown of the top juicy feuds on Twitter we’ll never forget.

Amanda Bynes v. DrakeAmanda Bynes’ torrent of Twitter lash-outs have been dominating headlines recently. The troubled star’s interactions with rapper Drake have been pegged as some of the strangest. It all began as a beef before ending with a bizarre…proposition?

“Drake Has Ugly Downward Facing Eyes,” she tweeted (@AmandaBynes). “He’s Ugly And I Won’t Stop Making Fun Of His Ugly Face! I Laugh @ Every Photo I See Of Him.”

Drake (@Drake) never replied, but it wasn’t long before Bynes had an apparent change of heart. “I want @drake to murder my vagina,” she later tweeted.

After several weeks, Drake finally addressed Bynes’ comments in an interview for XXL magazine. “I don’t even know who that is doing that or what that’s about. If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing,” he said. “It’s obviously a behavioural pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going.”

Hailie Mathers (Alleged) v. Taylor Swift It’s no secret that One Direction’s Harry Styles is one of pop’s hottest commodities. As soon he was linked to fellow musical hottie Taylor Swift late last year, Directioners everywhere were expectedly opinionated about the budding romance. A Twitter user claiming the identity of Eminem’s 16-year-old daughter, Hailie Mathers, took the concerns she had with Harry’s new beau into her own hands via Twitter.

“If @taylorswift13 is really dating the love of my life @harry_styles I will not be happy!” the enraged teen clamored under the alias @hailiejade_x.

She followed her initial words with yet another scathing message for her Grammy-winning target: “Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you’re only doing it so you can make another album.” Ouch!

It wasn’t long before both the fans and the media were up in arms over it all, wondering how the apple of Eminem’s eye could grow up to be so hateful. Eventually, storms cleared when a rep from Shady’s camp asserted to E! News that @hailiejade_x was a cruel imposter. Once the jig was up, the phony account vanished from the Twittersphere.

Azealia Banks v. Well, A Lot of PeopleRapper Azealia Banks’ affinity for Twitter beefs got so out-of-hand that her management saw no choice but to seize her tweeting rights. Banks has unleashed her fury at a slew of artists including Miley Cyrus, British singer Lily Allen (bottom right), and fellow MC Angel Haze (above left).

On Miley (@MileyCyrus): “[No] but seriously can this weird obsession white girls are having with being ‘ratchet’ go away??? It’s actually rather embarrassing.”

On Lily Allen (@lilyrosecooper): “…you have ugly children and a coke habit….. Shhhhhhh. #SHUTUP.”

Her battle with Angel Haze (@AngelHaze) was a lengthy back-and-forth spectacle that followers relished in. It all began when Banks tweeted, “Seriously, if you were not born and raised in NY…. DON’T CLAIM NY. YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER,” a blast directed towards Haze. Haze even took the issue to her studio, recording an anti-Azealia verse in a track entitled “On the Edge.” She was banned from using her own account in April 2013 – forced by her management to delete all of her tweets and start fresh.

Rihanna v. CiaraRihanna and Ciara are both sexy hitmaking sirens who ignite every stage they perform upon. They’ve got a lot in common – so why is it that back in April, RiRi lashed out at the “Body Party” singer on Twitter (@rihanna)? During an appearance on E! series Fashion Police, Ciara described a recent encounter with Rihanna as less-than-friendly. “She wasn’t the nicest…it wasn’t the most pleasant run-in,” she recalled on the show.

As soon as Rihanna was clued in on Ciara’s remark, she raised hell with a single tweet. “My bad ci, did i 4get to tip u?” #howrudeofme” she spat.

Ciara stood at attention, firing back: “Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage.”

The brawl continued, with Rihanna’s response: “U gangsta huh? Haaaa…Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.”

Diplo v. Flo Rida Chart-topping rapper Flo Rida was in hot water with electronic dance music fans in early August after DJ/producer Diplo called him out for an uncanny resemblance between Flo’s new music video and one of his own. “yo (@official_flo) ur a f— ass f—boi for ripping off my video,” Diplo (@diplo) tweeted. Later that day, his tirade escalated. The Grammy-nominated artist then tweeted a hilarious threat that got his fans involved: “im goin to go toilet paper the trees in front of flo-rida mansion if you want u can ride or die with me. also bring eggs.”

Flo Rida appeared on NYC radio station Power 105 about a week later to deliver a lighthearted response to Diplo’s tweets. “Honestly I never seen his video and I got news of this late last night. For the most part, where I’m from the only thing that I had a problem with is the ‘f-boy,’” he said. “But then I said you know what, I don’t have a problem ’cause the people that might be a fan of him that didn’t know me, I gain new fans. I’m learning to love it.”

Katy Perry v. Chief KeefShe’s the quirky pop princess of the Top 40 chart, and he’s an 18-year-old rapper who’s been in and out of the studio with names like 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, and Rick Ross (as well as in and out of juvenile hall). They’re from two different musical worlds, so it’s no wonder they didn’t see eye to eye when it came to the subject matter of one of Keef’s recent hits, “Hate Bein’ Sober.”

When Perry came across Keef’s raunchy track, she was less than impressed to say the least. She took to Twitter (@katyperry) to let followers hear her roar: “Just heard a song on the radio called ‘I hate being sober’ and now I have serious doubt for the world.”

By no means was Keef prepared to take her comment lying down. His comeback? “I’ll smack the s— out of her,” he tweeted among other unprintable remarks.

Immediately afterward, Perry chose to bury the hatchet with the formal reply: “Mr. Keef! I’m sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & I didn’t even know it was you in particular. Actually…”

Keef accepted her apology and issued one of his own, responding: “Oh Im Sorry Too Then.”

Tyler, the Creator v. Miley CyrusThe short platinum cut Miley Cyrus is rocking these days has a solid fan base. All eyes seem to be on her these days, especially now that she’s got a hip new aesthetic that seemed to begin after she made the big chop. She was even honored with the Candie’s Fashion Trendsetter Award at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

Odd Future frontman Tyler the Creator, however, begs to differ. “Hahahaha. She Was Like ‘Hey, i Wanna Do Something Different…..F— Me Up Real Quick’. Hahahaha.” Tyler (@f—tyler) taunted after she shared pics of her brand-new ‘do last December.

Miley (@MileyCyrus) shot back with a tweet that began poisonous but ended… with a compliment? “my “barber” couldn’t even come close to the f— job that is your face. # your right you should shut up. PS your musics dope,” was how the “We Can’t Stop” songstress replied. To this day, there’s no bad blood in sight – Tyler is an artist featured on Miley’s upcoming album release BANGERZ.

Lil Kim v. Wendy WilliamsDaytime talk show host Wendy Williams (@WendyWilliams) made some disparaging remarks about Lil Kim’s changing face during an appearance on The View. After the broadcast, Wendy issued a tweet inviting followers to tune in: “Wendy dishes on @LilKim’s dramatic new look & reveals who she wants to fill @JoyVBehar’s shoes on @theviewtv. VIDEO: wendyshow.com/hot-topics/”

Needless to say, Lil Kim wasn’t pleased by any means. The rapper used Twitter to set Wendy straight. “B—- y didn’t U show the side by side pic. This pic is photoshopped & U know it. U hating b—-,” she declared – including a link to a more forgiving photo within the tweet.” It didn’t end there. The rapper and former Junior M.A.F.I.A. member delivered an explicit follow-up tweet suggesting the TV personality was “hating” because she had been rejected by Kim’s ex-lover, Biggie Smalls.

When all was said and done, Kim had the last word in the matter – Williams never tweeted a response.
