Enjoy a special night hike on the Underground Railroad Experience Trail at Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park in Sandy Spring at 7 p.m.

BlackRock’s Swing Dance Party starts with a 45-minute dance lesson followed by the party at 7:30 p.m. in Germantown

Round House Teatre in Bethesda presents Uncle Vanya at 8 p.m. Come early and meet director John Vreeke.

Donal Fox appears at AMP by Strathmore in North Bethesda at 8 p.m.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs Tschaikosvky’s 5th Symphony at Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda at 8:15 p.m.

It’s Earth Month and there are numerous volunteer activities planned to clean up our streams and watersheds. A few include joining WSSC volunteers to clean up the Greenbridge Recreational Area OR joining the city of Rockville to clean up the Twinbrook or Maryvale streams.

Young children ages 1-5 will enjoy the interactive theater experience Blue at Imagination Stage at 10 and 11:15 a.m.

Start your day with a Zumba workout led by Gold’s Gym on the Rockville Town Square at 10:30 a.m.

Visit Glen Echo Park’s Art Explorers Family Studio for drop-in parent/child art activities from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

the Puppet Co. presents Jack and the Beanstalk in Glen Echo Park at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Numerous activities are planned for Montgomery Parks’ “History in the Parks” opening weekend. Take a guided tour of Oakley Cabin in Olney from noon to 4 p.m., experience the Underground Railroad with guided hikes at the Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park in Sandy Spring at 10 a.m. and Wheaton Regional Park from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.

Round House Teatre in Bethesda presents Uncle Vanya at 8 p.m. Matinee performance is at 3 p.m.

The Crawdaddies and Tom Principato Band perform at AMP by Strathmore in the new Pike District

The final film screening of BlackRock’s On Screen/In Person series features two short documentaries directed by Paul Festa at 8 p.m. in Germantown

The National Philharmonic present Bach’s St. John Passion led by Victoria Gau and featuring soprano Rosa Lamoreaux at 8 at the Music Center at Strathmore.

Take a guided tour of the Kingsley one-room Schoolhouse from 1 to 4 p.m. in Clarksburg, watch a PBS documentary and tour the Josiah Henson park in North Bethesda from noon to 4 p.m., and visit the Harper Cabin at the Brookside Nature Center in Wheaton from 1 to 5 p.m.
