Montgomery County police sought the public’s help Thursday in finding the people responsible for three armed robberies in recent weeks.

A robbery in the early morning hours of Saturday, Feb. 11, occurred at a 7-Eleven, at 8619 16th St., Silver Spring. A male employee had been in the store’s office and exited when he heard the three men enter the store.

In a statement, police said the employee saw one robber behind the counter, removing the drawers from two cash registers. Another robber, armed with a handgun, told the employee to return to the office, police said. The employee complied, and then the three fled the convenience store.

Police arrived about 3:15 a.m.

The perpetrators can be seen on surveillance video entering a dark colored four-door sedan that was parked in front of the store, police said. The vehicle left the parking lot and was last seen traveling on 16th Street toward Georgia Avenue.

The other case involves two robberies on the same business in Germantown, believed to have been committed by the same person, police said in a statement.

On Monday, Feb. 13, Middlebrook Discount Beer & Wine was robbed a second time, police said. The robber, believed to be the same person from the Feb. 3 robbery, entered the store, displayed a knife, threatened the cashier, and demanded money, police said.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the business. Police arrived about 5:05 p.m.

In both robberies, the cashier said the perpetrator took a bottle of Arbor Mist wine from the store.
