I had an amazing time at the Columbus GFFAFest! I was overwhelmed by the crowds the first day of the show. Everyone was so kind and just so excited to be a part of an event where they could eat anything and be with those who also had to have a specialty diet! Never underestimate the power of being with others just like you!

Thank you to everyone who purchased a Celiac and the Beast book, bought a shirt from me (thanks Thyme Market employees who all wore my cupcake shirt to the second day of the show), bought a sticker, or just came and high-fived me as part of the Selfie Scavenger Hunt at the GFFAFest!

Thank you to everyone who purchased a subscription to Gluten Free and More magazine. I couldn’t believe the deal we had for those of you who came to the festival. I hope you all love your magazine as much I love it!

Huge shout-outs to the sponsors that made this event happen!

Enjoy Life Foods - your #PlentilsTakeOhio promotion was a real hoot!

Udi’s - Your grilled cheese samples made a lot of folks smile at the show.

Glutino - Thank you for showing us all the great recipes we can make with your famous (and delicious) pretzels!

Bake Me Happy - you had me at gluten-free Twinkies! I adore you guys!

Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market - you guys had a line the whole time! Columbus clearly loves you and I’m so happy you’re feeding the community!

Magical Moments Vacations with Erin Davis - I loved talking to you about Aulani! Keep spreading the Disney love!

EZ Gluten – I can’t wait for everyone to have a test kit at their side at every restaurant visit!

There were too many awesome vendors to include in one short post, but I did post a ton of photos on my Instagram so if you’re on Instagram – check them out here.

I had a great time outside the festival too. Short North was such a great place to stay and hang out. North Market was fantastic – stuffed full of vendors from coffee, to florists, to Indian food to a real-life butcher shop! I found a little burger joint called Bare Burger that could wrap your burger in collard greens or a hemp milk bun, and even had a dedicated fryer for gluten-free folks like us! They treated me so well, I went back 4 times! I came home with a full belly, some bags of coffee, and a great Columbus experience.

Thank you Columbus, and I’ll see you at the next show!
