நாயகன், துப்பாக்கி, போன்று முழுக்க முழுக்க மும்பையில் நடக்கும் கதையம்சம் கொண்ட படமாக தயாராகிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது, ‘மும்பையில் ஒரு காதல்’. ஆனால் இது முழுக்க முழுக்க காதலை கொண்டாடும் படம். படத்தின் பெரும்பகுதி மும்பையிலும், ஒரு சில பகுதிகள் லண்டன், நியூயார்க் மற்றும் சென்னையிலும் படமாகிறது.
சட்டம் ஒரு இருட்டறை, தொட்டால் தொடரும் படங்களின் கதாநாயகன் தமன்குமார் இந்த படத்தின் கதாநாயகனாக நடிக்கிறார். தேசிய விருது பெற்ற மலையாள திரைப்படம் குல்மொஹர் படத்தில் இயக்குநர் ஜெயராஜ் அறிமுகம் செய்த ஜென்சி மீனு கதாநாயகியாக நடிக்கிறார்.
சென்னை திரைப்படக்கல்லூரியில் இயக்குநர் படிப்பில் கோல்ட் மெடலிஸ்ட் மாணவரான கௌதம் வெங்கடேஸ்வரன், ‘மும்பையில் ஒரு காதல்’ படத்தை இயக்குகிறார்.
மும்பை விமான நிலையத்தைப் பற்றிய ஆவணப்படம், கேரளா படகு வீடு பற்றிய ஆவணப்படம் போன்ற 100க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஆவணம் மற்றும் விளம்பர படங்களை சோனி எண்டர்டெயின்ட்மெண்ட், சி.என்.என். ஆசியா, என்.பி.சி.ஆசியா, பி.பி.சி. போன்ற மிகப்பெரிய நிறுவனங்களுக்காக எடுத்தவர் என்ற பெருமைக்கு சொந்தக்காரர் இயக்குநர் கௌதம் வெங்கடேஸ்வரன்.
படத்தின் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர்களாக ஸ்மிரிதி.ஜி, விஜய்.வி, ராஜ்குமார் இவர்களுடன் இணைந்து இயக்குநர் கௌதம் வெங்கடேஸ்வரனும் ஒளிப்பதிவாளராக பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.
படத்தொகுப்பு கமல்.ஜி. பாடல்கள், முருகன் மந்திரம். டாக்கிங் க்ரோஸ் பிலிம்ஸ், மற்றும் வெங்கி பிக்சர்ஸ் இணைந்து இந்தப்படத்தை தயாரிக்கிறது.

Thodarum”. The heroine “Gulmohar” (Malayalam Movie) Jency Meenu a find by National Award Winning Director Jeyaraj.
This upcoming ‘MOK’ – ‘Mumbaiyil Oru Kaadhal” is being directed by Gautham Venkateshwaran a Gold Medalist from Chennai Tharamani Govt
Film and Television Institute. Aptly this is debut for Gautham Venkateshwaran. Having made as many as hundred features which includes Commercials, Travelogues, Corporate Films, Music Videos and Documentary features on various themes like ‘Back Waters of Kerala and Boat Houses’, a film on Mumbai International Airport and more for World Wide Productions like BBC, CNN Asia, CNBC Asia, Sony Entertainment, Voyages International, Pritish Nandy Communications and UTV.
The interesting part of MOK is, the Cinematography is handled by British Independent Cinematographer Smiriti G, American Independent Cinematographer Viraj Victor along with Indian Cinematographer Rajkumar. The Montages filmed by the Director himself.
The surprise element of the MOK’s Music will be composed by an American based Indian. Lyrics by Murugan Manthiram. Editing is by Kamal G.
The film is produced by Mumbai based ‘Talking Crows films’ in association with Chennai based ‘Vengky Pictures’. The film is under the final stages of Production.
