This great company is seeking people with the right skills and attitude to join its multirole team. Currently they are looking for an engineer to join their Automation Team and take up an active role in PLC programming and HMI development.

The role
The automation engineering team play a hands on role providing specialised industrial process automation services across a diverse range of process and manufacturing industries.
These roles include liaising with the client to develop process functional descriptions, PLC programming, HMI design and programming, design of control strategies, plant data collection and database maintenance, costing projects and providing quotes to customers.
These positions are ideally suited to an Electrical/Automation/Control Engineer with an interest in process engineering, or a Process Engineer with an interest in process software development.
A qualification such as a Mechatronics degree or similar is a desirable qualification.

This company provides automation to a range of different industries which is becoming more diverse and includes the following;
Dairy processing, Food processing, Water/Waste Water systems, Machine control, Manufacturing, Refrigeration (commercial cool stores, blast freezers, chilled water plants)

The successful applicant may find themselves involved in the following;
PLC programming mainly with Schneider (Modicon, Telemecanique),  Allen Bradley (Rockwell) & Omron systems. HMI design & programming, mainly using InTouch, design of control strategies, plant data collection & database maintenance.

General
For this role you will need good communication skills, both oral & written, a keen interest in Automation, a willingness to step outside of their customary role & apply youselve in different ways, ability to perform work of a skilled nature demanding a high degree of technical competency, adhere to deadlines set on work in order to meet customer expectations, represent the Company in a professional & responsible manner at all times, ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times, meet the hygiene standards required by the NZ food industry, maintain an up to date knowledge of best working practices, regulations & industry standards, maintain an up to date knowledge of applicable new technology, be capable of working in a team or motivated to working on their own, be able to give good direction of task requirements, be open & willing to pass on learned knowledge within the company.
