Sankeys have enjoyed an excellent summer in 2015 to say the least. Their seven wonders of the world have offered a deluxe and diverse variance of sounds, styles, scenes and artists through the season and now the summer is grinding to a gradual halt, it’s time for this Manchester original to celebrate. How? With the Sankeys Awards and the ultimate Closing Party of course.
The Sankeys Awards is a luxurious and rewarding platform providing you with the opportunity to have your say in music in the party capital of Ibiza.
Running at Sankeys for the second year in a row, the Sankeys Awards will celebrate the achievements and progression of all the artists and nights of the club and Ibiza as a whole. Such awards including the Best Techno DJ, Best Tech House DJ, Best Garage DJ, Best Sankeys Night, Best House DJ, Best Newcomer, Best Ibiza DJ and Best Ibiza Club Night will all be awarded on the night.
So who do you feel should walk away such prestigious awards this summer?
The voting for the Best Techno DJ will prove tight with the likes of Shlomi Aber, Alan Fitzpatrick, Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg all up for the gong. Best Tech House DJ will be between Steve Lawler, Argy, Nick Curly, East End Dubs, Jozef K and Secondcity whilst the likes of Detlef, Anek, Matt Jam Lamont, Steve Lawler, Sam Holt, Jozef K, Tough Love and Doorly will battle it out for Best Resident DJ.
The Best Garage DJ award will be decided between DJ EZ, Matt Jam Lamont, Tough Love, Low Steppa and Preditah whilst <strong>The Redlight, Magna Carta & Reverse, VIVA Warriors and Shelter will compete for the Best Sankeys Night award. The Best House DJ award will be awarded to one of Tough Love, Sam Holt, Josh Butler, Miguel Campbell or Low Steppa whilst Matt Jam Lamont, Sam Holt, Tough Love, Rudimental and Leftwing & Kody will compete for the Best Newcomer award.
The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Apollonia, Solomun and Tini will go toe-to-toe for the Best Ibiza DJ award whilst the Best Ibiza Club Night will be contended for between Circo Loco, Enter, Music On and Solomun +1.
This isn’t the only great news Sankeys has to bring to your ears either. The line-up for the Sankeys Closing Party on Tuesday 6th October has now been revealed too. Set to get eye-balls bulging out of the sockets and tongues wagging, such a Closing Party is the perfect way to complete the perfect season for David Vincent and company.
The unstoppable-force that is Eats Everything will headline this highly anticipated event. This incredible talent will be accompanied by DJ, Producer and BBC Radio 1 Presenter, B-Traits, Tribal Sessions resident, Secondcity, Sankeys favourite, Jozef K. Joining them will be The Redlight’s Matt Jam Lamont, Sam Holt – who was originally one-half of Copyright, the legendary Todd Terry, the dynamic duo of Tube & Berger as well as the in-demand Noir. There will be an extremely special guest too who is yet to be announced.
