I just can’t get enough of glamping! After all, you’re getting the best of both worlds – the opportunity to stay in a quirky, unique tent or cabin and being close to some breathtaking nature…all without having to do away with any of the usual comforts! During the summer it gets even better as you can sit outside, enjoy the long, warm evenings, light a fire, spend good time with friends or family… Ahhhh, don’t you think that sounds lovely?
Well, today I have a treat for all you glamping fans out there! I happened to stumble upon this glamping site in Bali, Indonesia, and it’s so beautiful that I couldn’t believe my eyes. What’s more, the prices aren’t totally eye-watering to look at either! I know Bali will be a dream destination for many of you with its heavenly, snow-white beaches, lush rainforests, towering mountains and clear blue seas, so why not turn your next trip here into a one-in-a-lifetime experience with this totally unique and idyllic site? Read on, but be warned – there’ll be plenty of wanderlust to come…
Sandat Glamping – a breathtaking resort in the heart of Bali!
Located near the town of Ubud, this one-of-a-kind glamping site boasts amazing lodges and tents that are incredible to look at. You could choose to stay in a traditional Indonesian lumbung, complete with beautiful thatched roofs and terraces, or there are luxurious safari tents nestled amongst the trees complete with their own private pools. All of the buildings have their own themes and colours, which means they all have their own personalised touch and character!
Sandat Glamping: The resort has been designed with nature in mind, with every structure featuring eco-friendly designs.
Sandat Glamping: You’ll have gorgeous views of the swimming pool from the lumbung‘s terrace.
Sandat Glamping: The tents offer a little more privacy, and with their private infinity pools they’re perfect for a romantic getaway!
Sandat Glamping: Lumbung Kecak features a gorgeous Baroque style – a stay here will make you feel like royalty.
Sandat Glamping: The tents are simply magical
Sandat Glamping: Thoughtful touches have been put into every aspect of design – Lambung Barong features wood recycled from traditional Balinese boats!
Sandat Glamping: The romantic, spacious atrium features a bar and a restaurant, the perfect place to spend a quiet, relaxed evening…
Sandat Glamping: …or you could dine in the privacy of your own room!
Sandat Glamping: The resort is set in typical Balinese landscapes, surrounded by rice paddies and lush rainforests.
The resort is close to the gorgeous town of Ubud. There you’ll find gorgeous, traditional temples, a wide range of spas and a thriving art and cultural scene. With several museums you can wander through the gardens and admire what’s on offer, or you could even visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and get up close and personal with the mischievous macaques. Sandat Glamping offers free shuttle services to and from the centre or Ubud, so you’ll have the freedom to come and go as you please!
Booking with Sandat Glamping
You may be thinking that such a luxurious place may come with a hefty price tag, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised that the rates are actually very reasonable! If you book directly on their website, rates for luxury tents start from 260USD and 220USD for a lumbung. However I recommend checking back ever so often over at Trivago, as they may be able to find an even better bargain! If you’ve been dreaming of going to Bali, your holiday may be closer than you think after all… ;) Just have look at the deals to Bali that I found and you can add a night at the Sandat Glamping to your trip :)
Getting to Bali
The closest international airport is Denpasar Nghrah Rai International Airport, just 3km away from the resort. Flights depart from either London Heathrow or Gatwick with a stopover along the way – if you fly with Emirates for example, you’ll more than likely stop off in Dubai. Once you’ve reached your destination the hotel can arrange transfers from the airport for a fee, which can be arranged in advance.Check my Flight Far Finder regularly and you’ll be guaranteed to find the best prices for your flights!
Indonesia’s entry requirements are pretty straightforward – if you have a valid passport you’ll be issued a 30-day tourist visa upon arrival. Easy peasy! Just be sure to have proof of onward travel (i.e. your return ticket) as if you can’t provide some to the border authorities you may be refused entry. If you want any more travel advice, just take a look at the Foreign Office’s website – they have all the information you need to clear up any questions you may have!
So there you have it! I think you can see now why I’m convinced this is one of the most incredible and breathtaking glamping sites in the world. The architecture, the settings, the design – it all comes together perfectly to create a romantic and exotic atmosphere that you just can’t afford to miss. Add to that the reasonable prices and you have a recipe for success! Book a night or two here during your next trip to Bali and I guarantee you won’t regret it… You can thank me later!
