After watching numerous other bloggers receive adorable outfits for pretty much the past year I finally bit the bullet and ordered my first Stitch Fix box.

If you haven’t yet heard of Stitch Fix here’s the details,

Create your style profile

Get five handpicked items

Keep what you like, send back the rest

A professional stylist will choose five items they think you will love.   Items could include tops, jackets, jewelry, bottoms or scarves.  You get to try the items on at home (this was my favorite part), then keep what you want and return what you don’t want in the provided prepaid envelope.  So easy!  Along with the clothing your stylist includes a styling card with tips and ideas on how to dress up or down each piece included.

You pay a $20 styling fee which you can use towards your purchase.  If you decided to keep your entire Stitch Fix, you get 25% off!

Here’s what was included in my first fix,

(Please excuse the horrible pictures and background mess.  Our life is a disaster right now!)

Kut From the Kloth Denna Colored Skinny and Pomelo Downing Striped Knit Shirt

My stylist suggested that I pair these two items together but I wasn’t a fan of the top nor the pairing.  At first I wasn’t really sure I liked the pants either.  Then I hopped on Pinterest and searched blue pants.  Voilia!  A ton of ideas popped up so I headed to my closet to try a few.

With a white tank (Nordstrom), wedges (Guess) and chunky necklace(Francesca’s) – win!

Add a kimono I purchased recently from Nordstrom Rack – Win!

With my new Naya boots, a white blouse(Francesca’s) and a chunky necklace(Francesca’s) – Win!

Under Skies Geena Chevron Print Belted Tunic

I loved the color but don’t have a lot of tunic as I feel like I look like pregnant in them.  However, when I put this on with my Paper Denim and Cloth black skinnies (Nordstrom Rack), black wedges (Target) and aqua necklace (Francesca’s) I fell in love!

I even liked it with a pair of straight leg jeans (Citizen for Humanity – Nordstrom) rolled up with wedges for a more casual look.

Wynn Arrow Print Front Pocket Blouse

I really wanted to like this one but… I didn’t love it.  The fit was funky and it was too dark for the upcoming spring season.

Benton Striped Fringe Wrap Scarf

I liked this scarf but I already have one similar.  Although the quality was very good and it looked cute with a white top (Nordstrom Rack), Skinny Jeans (Hudson, Nordstrom) and boots (Naya – Amazon).

I had so much fun with my fix!  I was hesitant to order as I’m pretty picky and was worried nothing would fit.  I was wrong!  I ended up keeping the blue pants and the belted tunic.  Both were items I wouldn’t have necessarily tried on at a store so it was fun to step outside my box and find something I liked!  The fun part was being able to try on each item with pieces I already had.  I’m pretty famous for buying clothes, bringing them home, trying them on then returning them.  So it was nice to not have to make the trip to the store.  Especially since shopping isn’t the easiest thing to do these days with a busy almost three year old

Here’s the breakdown of what each piece cost for this fix -

Benton Striped Scarf – $34.00

Kut From The Kloth Denna Colored Jean – $78.00

Pomelo Striped Shirt – $44.00

Under Skies Chevron Tunic – $58.00

Papermoon Arrow Print Blouse – $48.00

I felt like the prices are pretty comparable to what I would spend in a department store.  All items were made well and very good quality.  I’ll definitely be ordering another fix!
