Seriously, where did the month of December go? I can’t even believe it’s almost Christmas! Then New Years… crazy!

This year instead of traveling we are hosting Christmas Eve and Christmas day. My in-laws Christmas Eve and my family Christmas day. We decided to host a New Years get together as well since last years was such a disaster

Anyway, we are scrambling to finish up the house and plan for guests this week so I might be a little absent after this post.  I’m sure I’m not alone as many others will be spending time with family.  I do want to share a few marvelous things for this beautiful Monday morning!

First, I made these Peanut Butter Balls the other day to share with my Stroller Strides group and they were a huge hit!

Print

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

Ingredients

1 cup natural peanut butter or other nut butter

2 tbsp. organic raw honey

1 tbsp. coconut flour

pinch of sea salt unless your nut butter is salted

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (I like Enjoy Life)

1 tsp. coconut oil

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, honey and coconut flour until a thick paste forms.

Roll into bite size balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet or tray.

Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes or until firm.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt dark chocolate chips and coconut oil stirring once or twice throughout.

Remove peanut butter balls from fridge and dip into melted chocolate then place them back on the tray.

Once they are all coated, put them back in the fridge until the chocolate hardens then enjoy! Store in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Peanut butter and chocolate can’t go wrong right!?!

Second, The Love Nugget wasn’t afraid of the surprise visitor that showed up to gymnastics!

I totally thought he would run for the hills but he patiently sat waiting for his turn to sit on his lap then hopped right up to take a picture.  He loves Rudolph!

Third, while were fairly busy trying to finish up a few things around the house and last minute shopping, we were still able to enjoy a few fun things this past weekend.

Friday night we enjoyed a date night on the couch watching Love Actually.

Saturday we went on a stroll through the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights with travel cups of wine to keep us warm.

Then Sunday we enjoyed dinner out with friends followed by a walk through a really popular Christmas light neighborhood.

Fourth, I got a surprise package in the mail from Smirnoff on Friday.

Such a wonderful Christmas gift!  I love being a part of the Smrinoff Hub and sharing recipes etc. with followers.  I’m looking forward to mixing up some cocktails for Christmas and New Years!

Last marvelous is that our house is beginning to feel more like a home!  We’v been finishing up some little things and hanging photos on the wall which is definitely helping to make it more comfortable.  Speaking of pictures, I just have to share these amazing snapshots I received from Gina with Cute Photo Cards on Etsy.

I came across her site while browsing for pictures to hang in The Love Nugget’s new sports themed big boy room.  He LOVES sports so it was fitting to go with that theme.  Plus, it’s something that will grow with him through the years so I won’t have to change it for awhile.

Back to the photos.  Gina specializes in creating digital photocards, wall art, and typography.  She designs customizable prints that can easily be downloaded and printed immediately after ordering.

Think Holiday cards,

Children’s printables,

invitations,

and what I received, sports photography.

For The Love Nugget’s room I wanted to do a more mature, sports theme.  So when I came across her sports photos I knew they were perfect!

While corresponding with Gina I learned that these particular sports print have a special memory for her.  She began taking these photos so that she could remember how much her boys loved to play sports.  Now that they are teenagers, she enjoys looking back at the pictures and remembering their mini athlete days  Made me love them even more knowing they were so close to her heart

She sent me a great selection of prints to display in The Love Nugget’s Sports themed room and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

Gina was so kind to offer my readers a 10% discount on any order they place between now and the month of January using the code Holiday10.  So if you haven’t had time to get a holiday card out to friends and family, this is would be perfect for you!  Since you can download and email or print right shortly after your order has been processed you can send them out as early as today!

Don’t forget if you haven’t had a chance to enter in my giveaway for a Mother’s Organic Therapy gift pack  and share my Red Velvet Peppermint Cake Pops recipe!
