Ummm can you believe Christmas is in ten days!?! Crazy how fast it snuck up this year. We just decorated our tree last night but haven’t finished the house quite yet. Moving had definitely set us back but it’s just one year…
Speaking of the house, we are beginning to get a little more settled in. Not yet finished unpacking but close. Our goal is to have it done by next weekend since we are hosting Xmas this year.
With all the renovating, moving, etc. The Hubby and I have barely spent any time together. A quick dinner at night or a short conversation before turning out the lights but that’s about it. It’s been a little tough since we make such an effort to maintain good communication and a happy relationship. Moving makes that hard but this past weekend we got to spend a little time away together and it was MARVELOUS!!!!
The Hubby’s work probably throws the best Christmas party around. They really care about their employees and their families. There’s not many companies out there these days that spend the extra money to show them how, much they care but The Hubby’s does and we are all so grateful for that!
This year we went to Mulvaney’s in downtown Sacramento which is a delicious farm-to-fork restaurant. We were spoiled with an open bar, a yummy dinner, raffle prizes (I won a $100 gift card to a nursery), dancing and a special surprise.
So fun! It was basically flash mob style with the two bosses starting it during their speech then everyone running up to join in. Hilarious and a total surprise!
While we were off partying The Love Nugget was home with Grammie who came down to spend the weekend with him.
He had a blast!
With all the work and running around we’ve been doing for the house I haven’t had much time to actually pull myself together on a daily basis. Workout clothes, hair in a pony and day old make-up have been my style lately. So it was really nice Saturday to get dressed in normal clothes before heading off for the weekend. It was even more marvelous since I was able to wear one of my new Boden shirts.

I’ve purchased a few things for The Love Nugget in the past and was always happy with the quality and look. The only problem was choosing what I wanted! They have so many adorable outfit choices but ended up going with the Autumn Breton top. I love striped tops and this one has super cute button details on the shoulders and fit perfectly! It’s a nice thick cotton which is warm enough to wear on a sunny winter day with just a scarf and no jacket.
The next top I chose was the Everyday Button Back Sweater in purple. Made of 42% cotton 31% viscose 22% nylon 5% cashmere it’s soft, comfy and super cute! The back is my favorite part though,
