2013-07-29

As you probably all know, I’ve just started my Project Life journey a couple of weeks ago and I am in a major catching up mood. So far, I did my cover and weeks 1-3 but I don’t want to add up the things that I might probably forget so I am doing my current weeks as well, and I am sharing those to you in this post.

Week 26 was when I officially started gathering all my supplies. I was lost and didn’t know what to do but after watching a couple of videos of Amy Tangerine at Two Peas in a Bucket, I got all fired up and ended up completing 4 weeks! Amazing, right? But that’s how inspired I am. This will be quite a long post

Our family had a whole lot of fun this week, it’s my husband’s birthday and it’s the first time we are celebrating it with Alphonse (well, most of our 2013 celebrations will be his first). We just had a simple dinner and the restaurant gave us a complimentary birthday ice cream which the girls devoured. This is also the week when Alphonse got to meet his pediatrician. He also started becoming more playful this week and he started on rice cereals already.

The end of the week was a major celebration – my husband’s birthday, Alphonse’s 6th month and the twins 8th birthday the following week. We decided to have a triple celebration so I had to cook and invited our friends over. It was a little unfortunate though that we weren’t able to take photos of our other guests because we were all busy catching up. Talk about not seeing each other for months!

This is how the entire page look. I’ve used a Clementine and Kraft here plus embellishments from Amy Tangerine and some random stuffs I’ve seen in some local shops here. I’ve added a couple of memorabilia like the t-shirt tag.

Week 27 spread was filled with photos of the twins birthday celebration. They requested a small gathering in school so I brought some cupcakes and goodie bags as giveaways. It was attended by their classmates and teachers. That day, their Chinese Tutor, Ms Ong gave them birthday cards which I adhered to some journal cads. I left her message on one of the pockets so it can be seen easily.

We had another family celebration with another dinner, again, we ate at their favorite restaurant here in Singapore (probably because of the free ice cream?). Each of them got their own Firehouse ice cream serving! They had fun eating them and was really very happy that they were able to celebrate their birthday this year with friends, teachers and family. It was one of their first time experiences.

The week ended with biking at the park near our unit. I took a photo of Scieszka with her new found friend using InstaPlace App and included it in this spread and it looks just beautiful! It’s my favorite piece in that page!

It’s quite a simple start of the week for us, just lazing around together, playing with each other and making Alphonse make some noises while we laugh at how funny he sounded. Yes, we love to play around with our little man

Alphonse started his physiotherapy this week. I used that Sunday, Monday, etc card up there to as a sign of him starting having his regular exercises every single day (at home). He didn’t like the therapy, he hated the exercises. Poor boy but I know that this is for him.

I was a little more playful this week with more embellishments added. I think it’s kind of fun to add a little something to my pages. I’m loving it.

Another happy week for us with Week 29 starting with amazing news from Alphonse’s cardiologist. According to him, A’s lung pressure got a little better and he gained 1kg since he saw him last May. It was indeed something to be happy about. And with that, there’s no need to see the cardio until after 3 months.

The second page was simpler with a little embellishment. I also tried incorporating some 12×12 papers. I cut into 3×4 and 4×6. They are simple and pretty enough in there so I didn’t try adding more.

Phew! There’s quite a lot in this post but I hope you made it this far
