Welcome to another edition of My Dallas Mommy’s top 10. In this edition, we are going to be telling you our favorite places for brunch in Dallas!

Here at My Dallas Mommy, we love the idea of enjoying breakfast for lunch. Did you know that brunch originated in England and was served like a buffet? In the early 1930’s, brunch was introduced in America and became quickly popular. We have searched all over Dallas for the best places to get brunch. These are our favorites:



10. Ida Claire Located in Addison, Ida Claire offers intriguing and southern inspired dishes. With a full brunch menu, packed with dishes that you normally would only find south of the Mason-Dixon, it is a great place for a weekend brunch.

On the menu: Creole Gumbo, Crawfish Corn Beignets, Fried Green Tomatoes and more!



9. Malai Kitchen Packed away in Dallas, Malai Kitchen is the place to go for brunch over the weekend. Each of their breakfast dishes gets a unique Vietnamese twist, offering these normal dishes a mouthwatering makeover.

On the menu: Banh Mi French Toast, Thai Eggs Benedict, Thai Omelette, Chicken and Egg Congee and more!

8. City Tavern Located in Downtown, City Tavern offers an extensive brunch menu and drink specials. Enjoy $2 mimosas and $4 Bloody Marys. Their full brunch menu is available on the weekends until 3pm.

On the menu: Breakfast Tacos, Breakfast Sandwich, Chicken and Waffles and more!

7. Nick & Sam’s Grill located on one up the luxurious corners in Uptown, this grill boasts beautiful and savory dishes that will leave your taste buds saying yum yum. Arrive early enough and grab a set on the patio and enjoy a nice Texan day. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday.

On the menu: Toad in the Hole, Cap’n Crunch-coated French Toast, Breakfast Flautas and more!

6. Dream Cafe With three locations conveniently located in Uptown, Addison, and Lakewood, Dream Cafe is the perfect spot for brunch. They offer American fare and even a play area. Online Ordering is available. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday.

On the menu: Popover, Scone, Oatmeal, Omelettes, Cloud Cakes, Crab Cake Benedicts and more!

5. Jonathon’s Oak Cliff This little bungalow-bound cafe offers an extensive brunch menu, as well as a breakfast menu that is served in the evening. If you are wanting southern style food with a pop of flair, visit Jonathon’s Oak Cliff.

On the menu: Biscuits and Gravy, Pan de Jon, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, Country Benedict and more!

4. Vickery Park On the popular N. Henderson Ave. is a modern day Cheers. Enjoy a warm and inviting atmosphere with delicious food. This is the perfect place to meet up with friends after a long work week. Brunch is served on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

On the menu: Migas, Texas Benny, Chicken and Waffles, Proper Fry-Up and more!

3. Bolsa Located just a few blocks from Bishop Arts, this delicious farm to table restaurant offers fresh dishes that are sure to make your mouth scream with delight. Enjoy a decadent brunch with a handcrafted cocktail.

On the menu: Texas Panzanella, Egg Sandwich, French Toast Cakes, and more!

2. Sixty Vines The newest hotspot in Plano just launched their brand new brunch! Let me tell you, it is something that you need to try. Their dinner menu is already delicious, they brunch is just as appetizing.

On the menu: Meatballs, Sticky Buns, The C.A.B. Brunch Burger, Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes and more!

1. Pier 247 Conveniently located in Bishop Arts is this home feel restaurant. Offering a wide range of seafood, burgers and more, there is always something everyone will really enjoy. If you want Cajun food, check out Pier 247. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm.  Their wide variety, cozy atmosphere and awesome location are what make Pier 247 our #1 pick for Best Places for Brunch in Dallas!
