Even though I am scrapbooking months ago, I remember what stories I want to tell because I use the momento app for iPhone. The app pulls my Facebook status (it can also pull from twitter, instagram, flicker, and more) updates and allows me to input information. I always use the app to keep track of quotes from S. Then when it’s time to scrapbook a particular week, I scroll through the app (which keeps my memories in chronological order) and see what I wanted to remember about the week.
Here is a closer look at the two sides:
During the week, we visited the zoo. Since I had too many photos from the trip I added an insert page for this week.
While the wood veneer would have worked on my layout, I decided to use water colors over the top of the wood veneer to match my page in color.
I took video of S petting the snake, so I ended up making screen prints so that I had two photos to add to my layout. However, I want the videos to be included in my scrapbook too, so I made QR codes of the YouTube videos. For directions on how to make QR codes you can see my post here.
