Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Business and Customer Development

• The ability to generate new business and revenue independently and for the branch through research and networking strategies.

• Develop an entrance strategy for qualifying, and effectively connecting with prospective business partners

• Create and drive a business plan strategy that successfully meets sales goals and expected profit margins

• Management of existing business accounts and continuously building customer rapport

• The ability to utilize our internal tools to negotiate market freight rates for the customer

• Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirements

• Exude the highest level of customer service to both your internal and external business partners, and set the expectations that the task given will be completed to their satisfaction.

• The ability to identify the steps necessary to accomplish goals and objectives for the branch

To be engaged and make sound decisions in regards to the branch budget, expenses, costs, and overall profitability

• Convey and report branch and individual accountability back to key leadership members

• Exude a sense of ownership and energy to the branch and leadership that shows your personal commitment to the overall organization

• Hold specific knowledge in regards to priority freight, ground freight, international air freight, ocean freight, high risk/high value cargo, , customs brokerage, supply chain project management, warehousing, and other shipping services and solutions.

• People Management Skills

• Deliver clear expectations in regards to the role and direction your team will perform at

• Promote and instill a positive work environment that is challenging and engaging

• Proactively address concerns, conflicts, and interactions with team members

• Assist in setting high standards of performance for all team members

• Involve your team in branch decisions and promote employee engagement

• The ability to work independently while supporting the overall team mentality

• The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities

• To be an effective communicator

• To be able to make timely decisions in a complex environment under pressure

• Results oriented with the drive to want to grow within the organization

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

B. Summary of Experience and Education

• High School Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Transportation or other related field of study is an added Qualification

• 5 years or more experience in the freight forwarding & Logistics industry, including areas of international air / ocean cargo, import / export, third party logistics management, warehousing, supply chain, etc.etc

• Three or more years of experience in a supervisory or management role leading high performance teams

• Previous experience working in transportation systems such as, Cargo wise or related is and added Qualification.
