Position Purpose:
Reports directly to the Information Technology Manager. Produces ongoing, regularly scheduled contract deliverable reports, internal management reports, and ad hoc reports. Performs quality review and testing for modifications or enhancements to systems, compatibility with existing system functionality. Performs application end user testing, as appropriate. Develops user acceptance test scenarios, as appropriate. Assist operations team with performing quality assurance on all system and operations performance.
Minimum Experience Requirements
* Bachelor of Science degree in operations research, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
* Minimum three (3) years’ experience in business systems analysis and reporting.
* Work experience in providing business analysis support to call center and/or other business process outsourcing services environment.
Experience in healthcare environment preferred.
May perform one or more of the following duties:
* Develop detailed understanding of business processes and reporting needs.
* Develop documentation for system modification and enhancements based on the business need and analysis of the impact on current functionality. Evaluate the effectiveness from a business perspective of current systems and identify needed enhancements, where appropriate. Translates operational requirements into systems requirements documents.
* Participates in cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects, including monitoring the project from initiation through delivery.
* Develop detailed understanding of definition of data from all sources used in reporting; identify and resolve problems with data inconsistency in reports.
* Participate in and contribute to the training/quality improvement process based on system reporting results.
* Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements, prioritized in alignment with the client's expectations and business needs.
* Ensures the ongoing process/system capability associated with projects and manages any changes required to meet or exceed the expectations established in project designs.
* Writes business specifications and forwards to technical staff for system development.
* Interprets systems specifications to develop, maintain and support automated business processes.
* Analyze and resolve problems identified by operations staff and State client. Act as a liaison to users, customer, and third-party resources.
* Develop and maintain user manuals for application modifications and enhancements.
* Plans and executes acceptance testing, and creates specifications for test case to meet business requirements. Perform new feature testing, regression and production fix test support. Analyze, document, and submit issues discovered during testing. Verify and close issues resolved during.
* Problem Research and Error Isolation; conduct analysis of testing results/failures.
* Fix Verification/Impact Analysis; verify problems reported during testing are working as designed.
* Partner and build effective relationships with others throughout the quality, software development, and product development organizations
Skills
* Basic knowledge of databases concepts and good working knowledge of Oracle query tools such as TOAD. Background in reporting tools (BusinessObjects, Cognos, etc.) required.
* Strong analytical and composition skills; to include analyzing data for variation and trends, attention to detail and consistent follow-through to assure problems are resolved and Product meets established Quality Release Criteria Standards.
* Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and people skills essential.
* Good listening skills; problem solving and the ability to handle multiple projects/clients at once is necessary.
* The ability to handle objections and counter professionally as necessary.
* Understanding of Waterfall/Agile methodologies - Experience in Manual testing (System/Regression).
* Ability to develop Operational Test Cases from Use Cases and/or User Stories.
* Have basic understanding of Software Development and Testing Methodologies.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; flexibility under pressure.
* Ability to prioritize requests and manage projects to meet target delivery dates.
