XCM Senior Solutions Engineer

The DocuShare Senior Solutions Engineer is a lead member of the XCM Solutions Delivery team. This team is focused on the Xerox DocuShare ECM product in two key roles: pre-sales technical support and post-sales professional services delivery. This role is technical and customer-facing.
The DocuShare Senior Solutions Engineer reports to the Director of Professional Services

Pre-sales responsibilities include:
* Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business requirements, gather and document business and functional objectives

* Solution design, including platform architecture, DocuShare modules and configuration, and integration with third party systems, such as imaging solutions, ERP, CRM, and BPMN

* Estimate time and cost required to complete projects

* Develop statements of work based on efforts estimates as described below

* Development and delivery of product demonstrations and related PowerPoint presentations according to agreed pipeline of projects

* Pilot/proof-of-concept development

* Lead the process to deliver responses to RFI and RFP requests

* Become subject matter expert for all content management and workflow solutions

Post-sales professional services responsibilities include:
* DocuShare server and add-on module installation, configuration, and test

* DocuShare upgrade and migration

* DocuShare customization and tool usage/deployment

* Integration of DocuShare with Xerox and third party solutions

* Workflow solution analysis, implementation, testing, documentation and optimization.

* Imaging solution & analysis, implementation, testing, documentation and optimization.

* Training delivery for standard and advanced software products, including developer training for custom solutions.

* Develop project plans by understanding key client objectives, diagnosing and mapping client requirements, and recommending project approaches.

* Customer relationship management, project management, and communication

Required Skills & Credentials:

* Experience in technical solutions sales, consulting and delivery.

* Experience in solution/project requirements gathering, documentation, cost analysis, estimation, and pricing support.

* Experience in and knowledge of the Enterprise Content Management and Imaging business spaces, including competitive products, customer needs and issues, and essentials of document management, imaging, workflow, and records management.

* Deep competency, knowledge, and experience of at least one ECM product and associated modules and middleware. Alternatively, deep technical experience within the BPM space.

* Capacity for learning and effectively putting to use advanced enterprise software products in networked, cross-platform, web-enabled, data-driven solutions environments.

* Experience in coordination and management of customer resources and expectations.

* Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing Microsoft server operating systems including Windows Server (2003, 2008 R2, 2012). Linux experience is desirable.

* Experience installing and configuring SQL database servers and client applications (Oracle, Microsoft, PostgreSQL).

* Experience installing and configuring web servers (IIS, Apache) and Apache Tomcat

* Software development background & experience, especially Java, web applications and front end technologies and frameworks.

* Experience and familiarity with TCP/IP networking and networked applications.

* Ability to multi-task, be flexible and meet aggressive deadlines

* Customer-focused, excellence-driven, professional and can-do.

* Self-directed, responsible, able to work alone / at long distance.

* B.S. required, M.S. or equivalent desired

* At least five years of directly relevant experience

* Willing and able to travel 30%.
Desirable Skills & Credentials

* Experience in project planning and management, including standard methodologies and common PjM tools.

* Experience with highly scalable applications, and familiarity with clustering and high availability concepts

* Experience implementing/managing network storage management and backup solutions.

* Experience in configuring and integrating with LDAP, Active Directory and SSO servers

* Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies including VMware (ESX, Workstation).

* Experience and familiarity with Xerox middleware and MFD products is a plus.
