Administrator, Sr. Lead
Conduent is
looking for a Database Administrator Sr. Lead. The Database Administrator Sr.
Lead will be responsible for supporting Oracle database environments and
supporting infrastructure, servers, storage and databases to ensure enterprise
level performance, availability and security. This includes working with IT
professionals on various infrastructure components, systems and servers
supporting hundreds of applications and systems.
Conduent is
looking for a data-driven problem solver that can discover, manipulate and
extract information from multiple Oracle data sources. The database manager
will work to solve problems and create solutions for integration into our
products and our processes. You will have a high degree of autonomy, be capable
of managing multiple high-priority tasks in a timely manner either personally
or through a managed staff. Candidate needs to be innovative, detail-oriented,
team-focused, strategic and effective. We are looking for the candidate to
start immediately.
Duties Include (directly or through managed
staff):
+ Monitor/Manage daily operations forall in scope Tolling & Transit database services.
+ Coach, mentor and develop technicalteam members.
+ Propose new initiatives, developplans, and lead projects to support business needs and improveefficiencies.
+ Provide general database design,implementation, and administration to assure highest reliability andavailability of IT services for all enterprise databases.
+ Develop database scripts, code, andpackages to support enterprise application development while utilizing andmaintaining standards.
+ Prioritize, organize and assistdatabase technical team members with projects/tasks.
+ Change approver for all core systemand database application changes.
+ Maintain database backup/recoveryprocedures and disaster recovery database environment.
+ Maintain and support procedures fordatabase security.
+ Conduct database capacity planning,record archival, and performance tuning regularly.
+ Oversee, maintain and supportdatabase software upgrade and patch management procedures.
+ Document database specifications,licensing, configuration, and infrastructure.
+ Work with application developmentstaff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and qualityassurance policies and procedures
+ Create models for new databasedevelopment and/or changes to existing ones
+ Respond to and resolve databaseaccess and performance issues
+ Monitor, optimize, and allocatephysical and virtual storage for database systems
+ Assess and develop long-termstrategic goals for databases
+ Design and implement systems,policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving toensure effective production and integrity of the Oracle data assets
+ Conduct research and makerecommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards
+ Responsible for monitoring databaseperformance, performance tuning and query optimization
+ Responsible to control databaseaccess for users and applications and apply security best practices
+ Perform database transaction andsecurity audits
+ Provide technical support tomaintain, operate, upgrade and patch Oracle databases to ensure maximumperformance and availability for the applications and systems
+ Establish guidelines and methods forthe installation and management of the host environment and client tools
+ Develop procedures and documentationfor backup and restoration as well as DR/COOP capabilities
+ Advise management of developments inthe industry or on the Site that could affect the Oracle environment,projects and client relations
+ Maintain and follow all policies,procedures and guidelines
**Requiredskills:**
+ 10 years experience with Oracledatabase administration (Version 10g/11g/12c)
+ BA/BS degree with 5 years ofInformation Technology experience or equivalent combination of educationand experience, including 10 years of DBA experience working with Oracle10g/11g/12c. Experience with Oracle 12c, Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager),Oracle cloning and replicating
+ Experience performing Oracle upgrades
+ Experience with UNIX/Linux platforms
+ Experience with successfullyresolving complex issues within a moderate to large Oracle environment
+ Experience in leading subject matterexperts or project teams
+ Knowledge of industry best practices
+ Experience with Unix/Linux, VMWarevirtual server environment, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and RMAN
**DesiredSkills:**
+ Experience in Oracle Database Administrationwith skills that are relative to configuration and future plans
+ Design, installation configuration,testing, migration and implementation of Oracle WebLogic
+ Knowledge of Site policies,procedures, and processes
+ Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)or similar
+ Experience with Oracle RAC clusters
