Analysis

Formerly owned and managed by Berjaya Group, the building was disposed to the Pavilion group for a total consideration of RM470 million ? RM426 million for the 5-storey shopping podium and RM45 million for the service apartments. The renovation works are reportedly costing RM100 million. Future development plan is an underground bridge linking Fahrenheit 88 to the Pavilion shopping mall.

According to the CEO of retail, Pavilion KL, Joyce Yap, Fahrenheit 88 is positioned to become a mid-range shopping centre, and complements other shopping complexes in the area which caters hip and young crowds, unlike Pavilion KL that caters high-end market.

Somehow, everyone knows that the traffic in the city is quite pack and busy and it makes a little bit of problem to residents that have family to send their kids to school. Therefore, there are other options can be used as well as using public transportation such as Monorail, Rapid KL or LRT.
