In my last post-titled: “Follow Your Dream”, I shared information on how to identify, articulate and attain your dream. I spoke of the importance of a direct communication link with our “Inner Voice.” In this post I will speak about who should dream.

Before I go any further, allow me to define my use of the word dream. When I speak of “Follow Your Dream”, in this context, I am speaking of living harmoniously spiritually, intellectually and physically in order to achieve our goals and attain our dreams (ultimate life's purpose). Our dream is not a destination nor is it defined by our position, who we know, our financial status or where we go.

Our dreams are “the desires of our heart” and we must all go through the process of identifying, attaining and maintaining them. Your dream is uniquely yours. It is not defined by others or by your intellectual nature. It is provided by your spiritual nature and obtained through the use of your intellectual nature, which directs our bodies towards its attainment in the physical world.

The beauty of our dream is that we can tap into it at any age. Whether we are beginning our life in the workforce and have yet to identify our dream; or part of the baby boomer generation and think that it's too late to dream. In the former case it's important to connect with your inner voice for guidance and comfort as you navigate through the potholes and pitfalls so abundant in the material world.

Baby boomers need clarity to help them understand that whatever they have experienced in the past (whether good or bad) can be utilized for the benefit of all. They also need a little more support in discarding the fears and limiting beliefs that have been with them most of their adult life.

Everyone should dream! Your age, race, religion or status of your health does not matter when it comes to following your dreams. Action begets energy. Just start out and move in the direction of your dreams to create the positive momentum necessary to reach them. As long as you're living harmoniously, whatever you need in order to attain your dream will become available at just the right time. Trust the process!

I don’t mean to say that attaining your dream will be easy. Thomas Edison failed over 10,000 times prior to creating the light bulb and Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started Apple Computer with just $1500 between them. It took years for each of these individuals to attain their dreams. What sustained them was that they had the confidence, creativity and calmness to stay connected to their dreams even when the times got tough.

Harmonious living allows you to develop a sense of peace as you pursue your dream even though everything around you may be going haywire. My final thought is to remember to be supportive of others as they seek their dreams. Your dream is uniquely yours and it is the only thing in the universe that will provide you with a sense of peace and fulfillment.

That's all for now and here's hoping that you live today and every day passionately and with purpose. Thank you and God bless!
