Country artist DANNY GRIEGO announced the release of his debut album titled COWBOYS, OUTLAWS & BORDER TOWN DOGS on Amerimonte Records, during his recent nationally televised appearance on the Huckabee show on FOX News Channel. Performing “Lady Liberty,” during the telecast, a patriotic song from the new album that Danny wrote for the men and women in uniform, says Gov. Huckabee, “What a thrill it was to have Danny Griego as a musical guest on my show! He is a gifted songwriter, singer, and musician, and his love for America and the veterans of our military who keep us free is just contagious. His music is filled with passion and depth. He is the real deal.” One hundred percent of the proceeds of “Lady Liberty” go to Camp War Eagle; and Military Warriors Support Foundation founded by General Leroy Sisco.

COWBOYS, OUTLAWS & BORDER TOWN DOGS is available on iTunes, Amazon, and all digital platforms; and the song “Lady Liberty,” can be purchased at “ladylibertysong.com” which issues proceeds directly to the charities. “Lady Liberty” follows Danny’s heartfelt ballad, the official lead single of the album titled “The Coast is Clear” (penned by Red Lane and Scotty Emerick), which recently hit Billboard and MediaBase’s Top 30 Adult Contemporary charts.
Griego first established himself on the exclusive songwriting scene in Nashville, writing with country songwriting Hall of Famers such as Hank Cochran, Red Lane and Max D. Barnes, and writing tunes later recorded by Waylon Jennings, Billy Joe Shaver and Michael Martin Murphey. The Arizona bred, Texas based troubadour now releases his solo project, bringing a deep rooted Southwestern ancestry with more than 3,000 live gigs (and counting) across the U.S.
Griego’s diverse blend of styles include Outlaw Country, Americana, Mainstream Country and Latin music, featured on songs written or co-written by Griego on the new offering. A true cowboy who ropes and rides; and drives his own bus he calls “Desirea,” a 54-foot Peterbilt 379 semi-truck fashioned into a tour bus, Griego’s “I Think She Only Likes Me For My Willie” and “A Three Legged Border Town Mexican Dog” are currently on Sirius/XM’s “Outlaw Country” station and on “Willie’s Roadhouse.” Other songs on the album include: “I Wear My Own Kind of Hat,” “The Coast Is Clear,” “Mean Mexican Woman,” “Me Enamore de Ti,” “Below The Border,” “A Couple of Outlaws Like Us,” “Santa Fe Rose,” “Open Range,” “Angelina,” “Lady Liberty” and “He Was an Outlaw.”
In addition to his new recordings, Danny is the sponsor and co-owner of the National Hot Rod Association’s (NHRA) pro-stock motorcycle team, and Griego and The Cowboy Cartel, his band, have been on a 2013-14 NHRA U.S. tour, performing at events throughout the country. The NHRA commissioned Danny’s signing to a multi-year agreement as the title sponsor for the NHRA Pro Bike Battle, a lucrative race-within-a-race bonus program for 16 races in the Pro Stock Motorcycle category of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
Griego’s band— which features CMA & ACM award winning bassist Kevin Grant, pedal steel guitarist Robby Turner, CMA nominated fiddler of the year Hank Singer, lead guitarist Deak Dietrich, and drummer Robert Scott —are true road warriors; supplementing their official tour with “Operation Thank You” shows at local military bases as ‘pick-up’ dates between larger cities.
