Daft Punk collected awards in several major categories. Veterans Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin have not been forgotten in the biggest music awards ceremony in the United States.
Daft Punk were kings of the night and ‘snatched’ Grammys for Record of the Year (‘Get Lucky’), Best pop duo/group performance (‘Get Lucky’) , Album of the year (‘Random Access Memories’), Best dance/electronica album (‘Random Access Memories’).
Lorde, 17 year old singer win the Grammy for Song of the year (‘Royals’) and also Best pop solo performance (‘Royals’).
The ‘newbies’ Imagine Dragons were the winners in the category Best rock performance (‘Radioactive’), defeating the weight competition of David Bowie, Queens of the Stone Age and Jack White.
Black Sabbath took home the Grammy for Best metal performance (‘God is Dead?’), regarding Best rock song it was won by Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear with Paul McCartney (‘Cut Me Some Slack’).
Led Zeppelin were awarded with the Grammy for Best rock album ( ‘Celebration Day’ ), and Vampire Weekend won the award Best alternative music album (‘Modern Vampires of the City‘)
