Review of Before I Die by Papa Roach

Papa Roach are back again with another rip-roaring single for rock fans everywhere to sink their fangs in to. This US act are no strangers to success and have been dominating the rock world for six albums. Responsible for the time honoured anthem Last Resort, this band has always been able to capture its fans undivided attention and devotion – and with their latest single things look set to stay the same.

New Papa Roach Single Before I Die

Emotion is always something Papa Roach have had no problem with conveying, particularly in the often brutal and honest lyrics of singer Jacoby Shaddix. So it comes as no surprise that their latest track Before I Die features more of the same raw emotion we have come to know from this powerful band.

It’s a steady start, built up around Jacoby’s melodic voice which is soft in all the right places and rough where it counts. The chorus kicks in with so much umpf that you can feel it pull in your chest as you are surrounded by everything that is so truly Papa Roach, from the driving drum beats to the powerful guitars.

The track is a taste of something new while keeping all the qualities of one of rock’s most favoured bands. It’s something Papa Roach have had down to a fine art for years now, changing and adapting to the demands of their fans and satisfying their own creative curiosity without taking it too far.

All tied up in the latest craze of a well put together lyric video – this single is the perfect gift to your ears.

Before I Die by Papa Roach is out October 21st 2013.
