Flowers and candles were “streaming” into the entrance way at CrossFit Gamma, a gym owned by strongman Mike Jenkins, Friday according to the gym's Facebook page.

The 6-6, 400-pound Jenkins captured the 2012 Arnold Strongman Classic, an event named after Arnold Schwarznegger. He defeated some of the best in the world like Zydrunas Savickas and Derek Poundstone.
Jenkins, who played football at James Madison University and is survived by his wife Keri, also placed fourth in this year's World's Strongest Man competition.
