The Presidency again on Sunday moved the timetable during which it fixed to engage 200,000 graduates, saying beneficiaries will commence work at December 1.

That was the second time the Federal Government would move its position on the employment scheme which it prior guaranteed would begin in October.

Two weeks back, Vice-President Osinbajo was cited as attributing the disappointment of the administration to draw in the graduates in October as guaranteed to the need to get the required equipment.

He then guaranteed Nigerians that the graduates would be engaged “in the following two weeks.”

In any case, an announcement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, on Sunday gave a sign that the graduates would not begin work up until December 1.

Akande said while the 200,000 graduates were chosen around two weeks prior, their names had been sent to state governments and the Federal Capital Territory who might convey them to their particular programme assignments.

He said while beneficiaries’ names would be distributed for the current week on the N-Power web entryway, they would begin getting messages informing them of their selection from Monday.
