A seasoned leader in diversity and inclusion, Fourté is the Board’s newest member.

Multicultural Retail 360 is proud to announce the appointment of Rona Fourté as the newest member of its Retail Advisory Board. Fourté is the director, supplier diversity, at drug chain giant Walgreens.

Fourté is a results-driven executive and veteran facilitator of diversity and inclusion strategies. In her current role, she and her team are the primary liaison and subject matter experts for identifying, developing and introducing diverse suppliers to opportunities at Walgreens. She also supported human resources transformation and the implementation of a new service delivery model for HR administration, inclusive of Compensation and Benefits Administration Organizational Data and Employee Data.

Prior to joining Walgreens, Fourté directed the Chicago Minority Business Opportunity Center, a $1.2 million U.S. Department of Commerce, MBDA-funded project. She is credited with successfully executing financial transactions for minority-owned businesses in excess of $105 million.

Fourté is an active member of several supplier diversity and procurement organizations, including affiliates of the National Minority Supplier Development Council and Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, U.S. Business Leaders Network, Conference Board and the Food Marketing Institute.

“We are so pleased to welcome Rona to our Retail Board of Advisors,” said Don Longo, Editorial Director of Multicultural Retail 360. “For the past 12 years we’ve tapped the minds and expertise of these retail industry leaders to help put together the most important industry conference dealing with the ongoing changes in the makeup of the American consumer.”

Added Fourté, “Thank you for extending the opportunity to support this great work and wonderful organization. I look forward to contributing and getting to know my fellow board peers.”

Fourté’s appointment follows that of Mauricio Simbeck, CEO, Milagros de Mexico, who joined the Board in September. He heads a chain of Hispanic health and wellness stores in California that specialize in products popular among Mexican Americans (http://www.multiculturalretail360.com/mexican-american-drug-chain-founder-joins-multicultural-retail-360-advisory-board/).
