In this week’s Casting News, we get a personal glimpse at Domhnall Gleeson’s favorite sex scene, watch as a fan favorite battles a few dragons, find out where fans will soon be able to meet with Dumbledore and Lucius Malfoy, and explore a handful of films we get to see in 2016 starring our Potter friends (Hint, Daniel Radcliffe is a very, very busy man!).

Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley) has dominated our past few posts, but we figure it’s appropriate since Tuesday was Kiss a Ginger day! Domhnall has been on a media tour for a few of his films that were recently released and spoke with W magazine in a rather personal series featuring stars talking about their favorite sex scenes. While not exactly what we think W had in mind, Domhnall shared that he had to direct a sex scene for his brother once. Talk about getting personal! Be warned, the description of the scene is a bit graphic, despite his attempts to “make it classy”. You can watch the short video here.

Some additional information on Domhnall’s new film, The Little Stranger, directed by his friend, Lenny Abrahamson (Frank), was revealed during an interview with the director via Empire Online. Lenny gave his thoughts on working with Domhnall again, saying,

He’s brilliant. The Little Stranger is an amazing novel by Sarah Waters and I’ve been working with the very wonderful Lucinda Coxon who wrote The Danish Girl and she’s done brilliant work and we’re hoping to shoot next year. And it will be Domhnall Gleeson playing a doctor in the late 1940s who comes from a very working-class background, sort of a grammar school boy, and then goes back to treat a family of gentry that he remembers from when he was younger. And it’s a brilliant meditation on class, again there’s quite a strong theme about how strongly children feel things and it’s a poltergeist story on top of all that. So it’s my first flirtation with, you know, those genre elements.

I love [Domhnall]. He’s a real friend as well. Frank was such a great experience with him and we have a great way of working together, I love his company. So having him lead a film will just be fabulous.

Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) is once again journeying to space in the futuristic film, The Space Between Us. We recently revealed that Gary would be involved and this week, we get a few more hints about the plot courtesy of the Young Folks, who have broken down exactly what interested viewers need to know about the film. For once, film-goers will get an original story, meaning it is not an adaptation of any kind. The star-crossed lovers is a theme we might all be familiar with, but the online blog indicates that the film could actually happen in a few years!

After extensive research on the topic from producer Richard Lewis and talks with NASA, there is a possibility that today or in the very near future of a human giving birth in Mars and growing up there would not be surprising.

What is now known about the film is Gary’s role as Gardner’s (played by Asa Butterfield) father, a resident of Earth named Nathanial Shepherd. The character is based on a real-life Mars colonization program creator, Elon Musk. We’re very excited about an original story finally making its way to screens and can’t wait to see Gary in this role. Here’s a synopsis of the film:

In this interplanetary adventure, a space shuttle embarks on the first mission to colonize Mars, only to discover after takeoff that one of the astronauts is pregnant. Shortly after landing, she dies from complications while giving birth to the first human born on the red planet – never revealing who the father is. Thus begins the extraordinary life of Gardner Elliot – an inquisitive, highly intelligent boy who reaches the age of 16 having only met 14 people in his very unconventional upbringing. While searching for clues about his father, and the home planet he’s never known, Gardner begins an online friendship with a street smart girl in Colorado named Tulsa. When he finally gets a chance to go to Earth, he’s eager to experience all of the wonders he could only read about on Mars – from the most simple to the extraordinary. But once his explorations begin, scientists discover that Gardner’s organs can’t withstand Earth’s atmosphere.  Eager to find his father, Gardner escapes the team of scientists and joins with Tulsa on a race against time to unravel the mysteries of how he came to be, and where he belongs in the universe.

We’re finally returning to television after what feels like a long winter break from the holidays and we’re thrilled (and a wee bit scared!) to see that Frank Dillane‘s (teenage Tom Riddle, Half-Blood Prince)series, Fear the Walking Dead is back for season two as well! AMC recently announced the return date at the Television Critics’ Association press tour, revealing that the first part of the second of the season will air seven episodes beginning April 10, followed by eight more episodes to wrap things up later in the year.

Having you been tuning in to the new season of Galavant to support Harry Potter star Luke Youngblood (Lee Jordan)? The cast of the musical comedy series recently appeared at the Disney/ABC Winter TCA event to promote the return of series and did so with glee. We have the pictures to prove it (including Luke’s fresh new ‘do!):

The actor also shared a new photo of his new shorn locks on his Instagram account. Pretty fly, Luke!
