We’ve chosen the best bedding from Camomile London to The Linen Works that will mix, match and layer for a homely and eclectic kids bedroom.

The right bedding can make a stark space cosy or pull a whole room together. And while white sheets are the staple, there’s a definite move towards layering up in vintage colours as well as mixing textures and using contrasting throws, sheets and cushions in different prints and fabrics. The look is eclectic, lived-in and far less predictable for a kids room than dinosaurs/diggers.

And because we love the look, we’ve edited some of our favourite collections for 3 key pieces to give your kids bedroom a quick style update.

Camomile London

Our current design crush was launched in April by mother/daughter design team Helen and Daniela Boleto who both hail from a fashion background. A timeless range of nursery and kids bedding, there’s nothing that we wouldn’t give houseroom to.

Thick hand quilted blanket, £81

Tall House cushion, £45

Dash Star cot quilt, £78

Caramel Baby & Child

At Caramel Baby & Child the new homeware collection has a selection of vintage-inspired mix and match pieces with that handed-down through generations look in faded florals, simple geometric prints and as always, beautiful quality fabrics.

Scatter cushion, £28

Child’s duvet set, £125

Cot bumper, £98

The Linen Works

For bedding that will be handed down through generations, The Linen Works has introduced a beautiful range of 100% linen single sheets and cushions in contrasting tone. We love the combination of cassis rose and Parisian blue. We say buy elements from across the range and throw them all together.

Mini pillowcase Parisian blue, £14

Linen flat sheet in cassis rose, £95

Duvet cover in Toulon grey, £125

Numero 74

French design house Numero 74 continue to use earthy, rich tones in their gauze bedding and tatami mats. For non-girly and nostalgic florals, the duvets sets in the new ‘flower’ range are great but personally we like the plain, super soft cotton blankets and tatami mats, also great for den-building.

Summer quilt, £36

Star cushion, £12

Tatami mat, £65
