Let’s dive into the action for college football with some expert advice for the day to help you set your lineups.
For each slate of games for the college football season, I will give you my top plays at each position. I also will give you my top value play. This column will be similar to our expert picks in MLB and NFL.
Quarterback- Malik Zaire $8300
Nortre Dame has found themselves a quarter back. Man did Zaire look good in week 1 against Texas. Zaire went for 313 yards and 3 scores while completing over 85% of his passes. This week the Fighting Irish get a Virginia team that struggled giving up 34 points. The Irish have a high point total and with the loss of Tarean Folston will lean on Zaire even more.
Running Back – Nick Chub $10800
Chub is expensive but worth every cent. Chub might be the best back in the nation and should see 20 to 25 touches in this game. Fully expect him to run for over 100 yards and hit pay dirt in this game.
Wide Receiver- Leonte Carroo $7400
Just look at what Carroo did in one half of football after being suspend for the first half last week. Carroo went for a ridiculous 3/129/3 line and that is not unusual for him. In this same match up versus Washington State Carroo went for 6/151/1.
Tight End- Jake Butt $3700
This is a week I am paying up for the sure thing in Butt. Jim Harbaugh loves to get the ball to his tight ends and their is not a better one in the country. Butt went for 8/93/1 in week 1 and should have a field day against Oregon State. Oregon State has three new linebackers and three new members in the secondary.
Value Play- Patrick Skov $5900
He is vastly under priced. In week 1 the transfer from Standford showed that he will be Georgia Tech’s lead back with three touchdowns. The Yellow Jackets run the triple option offense and run a billion times a game. This week they get Tulane and if the game is close watch out.
