The new Universal Monster Universe may be soon upon us.
Last year gave us Dracula Untold , a reboot that starred Luke Evans that placed the Dark Count squarely in the action hero role.
Coming up in 2017 is a remake of The Mummy starring Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella as a female Mummy. Wayne Johnson is rumored to be the star of The Wolfman reboot due in 2018.
Van Helsing, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Bride of Frankenstein, and The Invisible Man are scheduled to be added to the Universal Monster Universe soon after.
While many will be cheering these resurrected new action monsters, those with longer cinema memories will be mourning the passing of the old black and white ones.
One of those is fan artist, illustrator Nicholas Delort, a Canadian and French illustrator working in Paris, France. Each of Delort posters is the ultimate visual eulogy for the Classic Monsters. Every one of them is a beautiful reminder of those old dusty films ability to shock and awe.
