J.K. Rowling is truly the gift that keeps on giving. A trait that I admire most about her is her down-to-earth persona and the fact that she still answers even our most ludicrous questions on Twitter. She also gave us all what we've been waiting for, an 8th story after 'All was well.'

This year isn't just the Dawn of The Age of Hufflepuff or the time when we found out where Harry's eldest son, James Sirius was sorted (Gryffindor, much to Teddy Lupin's chagrin). This post won't also just feature the facts she revealed about the Potter family or what might be her new favorite line of 2015. This article will be a collection of all her glorious tweets this 2015 regarding the Wizarding World, Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts from January up to December. I used tweettunnel to track and filter them all so you won't have to.

Enjoy the throwbacks, muggles and wizards!

January

When she knew all along Tom Felton's real house.

.@TomFelton I could've told you that years ago. I just didn't want to spoil your motivation ;)

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) January 21, 2015

I even wrote an article about it which you can read right here .

When she declared us all very cool before signing off

I wish I could answer you all but your Tweets come very thick and fast! Be happy & I hereby declare you all cool. X

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) January 29, 2015

I just feel the need to include it. This was after her tweet spree and helping her friend Robert Galbraith finish writing some chapters of his book.

When she explained why she founded Lumos

This explains why I founded international children's charity @lumos, which aims to end institutionalisation. http://t.co/kFmeA0AtC8

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) January 30, 2015

Institutions doesn't provide the basic love and care parents provide for children.

February

When she clarified the answer to this Tumblr question

@jk_rowling a valid question on Tumblr (credit to the urls/people) pic.twitter.com/W8bfyaxxrC

— Festive Fatima (@llamaofthelab) February 5, 2015

.@llamaofthelab The Horcrux-receptacle has to be destroyed BEYOND REPAIR, so Harry would need to have DIED. #pleaseneveraskmethatoneagain

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 6, 2015

Geez people. Not all the Horcruxes can be destroyed by the basilisk fang!

When she told us which part of the Harry Potter books she bawled her eyes out

.@hello_sanchez Me too. It was as bad as when I wrote chapter 34 of Deathly Hallows, and that's saying something.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 18, 2015

Chapter 34, The Forest Again. The part when Harry realizes what he must do in order to defeat the Dark Lord. There's a Horcrux inside Harry, and he had to die to insure Voldemort's defeat. He walked into what we thought would be his end. I can't continue explaining this, I'm sure all of you know it and it hurts so much.

.@larapetale Yep, that's where I bawled my eyes out after writing chapter 34.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 18, 2015

March

When she tweeted her appreciation for her fans on World Book Day

I've just been reminded not to forget the original (and best) fans... #WorldBookDay pic.twitter.com/cgpDjez4Jp

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 5, 2015

... And this tweet that spawned a thousand rumors

Why has Percy Weasley got his arm around Narcissa Malfoy? Find out in my new... kidding. I'M KIDDING. #NotAPrequel pic.twitter.com/ZZ6HJZrDY3

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 5, 2015

Several months later, she'd be tweeting #NotAPrequel again, this time about the sequel Cursed Child.

When the first publisher she went to made the same mistake...again

.@babymegs_ Loads! First publisher to turn down Harry also sent @RGalbraith his rudest rejection. They don't even want me in a beard.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 23, 2015

April

Never believe Harry Potter did-you-knows

Is this true @jk_rowling pic.twitter.com/67XS5cFa89

— s.ananyashree (@s_ananyashree) April 13, 2015

.@anuananyas I never wrote it, never announced it & never had it edited out, so it's basically what we British call 'a load of cobblers.'

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) April 13, 2015

...Unless it came from a credible source and not just some image on the internet with texts on it.

This entire thread

.@DonPajon "@jk_rowling is what i call a OG." Old Girl? Open Goal? Ordinary Grifter? Obsolete Gadget? I don't understand your YPS.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) April 13, 2015

YPS is Young Person's Slang, courtesy of Rowling.

.@DonPajon OK, now everybody has explained OG to me, I am truly flattered! Thank you.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) April 13, 2015

This is why I love you people. We went from Dante to Original Gangsta in 5 minutes. X

May

Apologizing for death anniversaries

Today I would just like to say: I'm really sorry about Fred. *Bows head in acceptance of your reasonable ire*

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2015

.@Brieuc26Rankin I thought I might apologise for one death per anniversary. Fred was the worst for me, so I started with him.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2015

*sniff*

I don't think we could forgive and forget that easily, Jo. :'(

.@Brieuc26Rankin I thought I might apologise for one death per anniversary. Fred was the worst for me, so I started with him.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2015

Now, it's possible that every mirror George sees is like the Mirror of Erised. Damn, it hurts.

When someone calls you a Hufflepuff, don't take offense

.@mackanory @JimForScotland Laughing. Hufflepuff isn't an insult. I love Hufflepuffs. I've just written a film script starring one.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 8, 2015

Hufflepuffs are great finders

.@Matthew_Ireson Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. Newt Scamander's a Hufflepuff.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 8, 2015

When she answered what was Moaning Myrtle's full name

.@HotmHayles @lankytwat Moaning Myrtle's full name was Myrtle Elizabeth Warren.

.@Mattdavelewis Not as bad as watching Dan in Equus, but close. Warn me next time, for God's sake. https://t.co/r8EUd1GKqT

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 21, 2015

Huehuehue...

.@Mattdavelewis I will always support you whatever you want to do, Matthew. Now go put some clothes on.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 21, 2015

And Lucius piped in. The correct term is not Neville Longbottomed - it ought to be Neville PERTbottom now.

.@jasonsfolly @Mattdavelewis I wouldn't know. I hastily averted my eyes and read an article on Political Correctness to get over the shock.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 21, 2015

The changing Patronus

.@tigs25 Your Patronus only changes if it's eternal love, unchanging - part of you forever.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 21, 2015

Hmmm, did George's Patronus changed when Fred died? Or he never performed the Patronus charm ever again? We need answers, Jo.

When she gave blessing to this cross-over in celebration of Marriage Equality in Ireland

.@justaoifethings Then they could get married IN IRELAND! pic.twitter.com/yXedPavZfp

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 23, 2015

June

We know Eddie will be a fantastic Newt and J.K. is absolutely delighted

Thrilled that Eddie Redmayne will be starring in Fantastic Beasts. He'll be a perfect Newt Scamander!

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 3, 2015

Which would you prefer - Porpentina or just 'Tina'?

.@MaddieDUHx 'Tina' is what her friends and family call her. Would YOU want everyone to call you Porpentina?!

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 4, 2015

She also clarified that Queenie is younger.

Why she wasn't invited to Draco's 35th birthday

.@gillianngracee Draco turns 35 today. I'm not invited to the party, mainly because I keep telling girls they're misguided to fancy him.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 5, 2015

Draco's a character we love to hate in the books, but in the films... we're just confused.

The discussion of the Slytherin also led to another one of the former Headmaster and Potions professor.

.@triannamn Snape had his faults, but he was incredibly brave.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 5, 2015

And yet another one why Harry didn't name his son after Lupin.

.@veronicalloyd_ Harry left Remus's name for Teddy to use for his own son.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 5, 2015

The Salem Witch Institute

.@jgrahamhutch The Salem Witches' Institute isn't a school, but a joke on the Women's Institute in the UK.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 6, 2015

Hogwarts' counterpart is not in New York, though. And we'll know that information soon.

.@loonyloolaluna If I answer that fully it will reveal the location of the school, but you can take that as a yes!

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 7, 2015

The name of the Wizarding school isn't of American-Indian origin, it's of immigrant origin.

.@loonyloolaluna However, indigenous magic was important in the founding of the school. If I say which tribes, location is revealed.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 7, 2015

News Flash: In case you all forgot, WE ALL WENT TO HOGWARTS TOGETHER.

.@m_abs All these people saying they never got their Hogwarts letter: you got the letter. You went to Hogwarts. We were all there together.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 7, 2015

I've an inkling that Morten is a Slytherin bully.

.@m_abs Of course it happened inside your head, but why on earth should that mean it wasn't real?

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 7, 2015

The inspiration of Madame Pince

.@nancy_whiskey @OrkneyLibrary You're so wrong. She sprang directly from my childhood fear of scary librarians. The kind who hate kids.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 25, 2015

Jo went on to reply to a fan that one of her favorite librarians put up a picture she did of an obese cat, and she couldn't be more proud.

The announcement of Cursed Child

Today is a very special day for two reasons. Firstly, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was published in the UK 18 years ago!

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 26, 2015

I'm also very excited to confirm today that a new play called Harry Potter and the #CursedChild will be opening in London next year.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 26, 2015

It will tell a new story, which is the result of a collaboration between writer Jack Thorne, director John Tiffany and myself. #CursedChild

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 26, 2015

I don't want to say too much more, because I don't want to spoil what I know will be a real treat for fans. #CursedChild

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 26, 2015

they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story. #CursedChild

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 26, 2015

I've had countless offers to extend Harry's story over the years, but Jack, John and Sonia Friedman are a dream team! #CursedChild

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 26, 2015

It has been a huge pleasure to share with them (and soon, with you!) this untold part of Harry's story. #CursedChild

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 26, 2015

Cursed Child is a sequel which proves that all is not-so-well after all. The major cast for the play has already been announced, and you can read more about it here.

Even though J.K. Rowling didn't write the script for Cursed Child (Jack Thorne did), it should be considered canon because they developed it together along with the play's director John Tiffany.

July

Introducing Jacob from New York

Also met @mrdanfogler yesterday. I'm so excited he's going to be be Jacob! #FantasticBeasts https://t.co/j7dUEW35Pg

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 16, 2015

According to Rowling, Dan Fogler won't just 'be be' Jacob, but BE BE him. The character of Jacob is a no-maj (American muggle) who befriends Newt in New York.

Back to Neville's torso

Went to see favourite funny man @joelycett tonight. After the show he text me this. Terrifying. pic.twitter.com/S7Vu2wUvT0

— Matthew Lewis (@Mattdavelewis) July 15, 2015

Funniest thing I've seen.

.@alwaysdragxns @Mattdavelewis Exactly what happened in my head when I squinted, puzzled, at the ripped torso in my Twitter feed.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 17, 2015

The scarred character

.@saeba_kun "Will there be a character who will have a scar in fantastic beasts?" One of the characters has *loads* of scars.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 16, 2015

I honestly have no idea on this one.

She loves to be asked about the characters and answered when Luna's birthday is

I never get fed up with readers' questions! Luna's birthday is the 13th February. https://t.co/b14ViPhPoo

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 17, 2015

So Luna Lovegood is an Aquarius! That explains her fun and carefree personality! Her loyalty and independence too!

How much is the tuition fee for Hogwarts?

In case you were wondering, here's the article that calculated how much it would cost us to go to Hogwarts. And click here for mic's rectified article.

.@kevinpokeeffe The Ministry of Magic thanks you for allow them to clear that up, Kevin.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 17, 2015

You can read more about this on Kristin's article right here.

They also have houses in the American equivalent of Hogwarts!

Newt's a Hufflepuff, but the other heroes went to the American school of wizardry (and yes, I know their houses). https://t.co/2mnVEo0LHo

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 17, 2015

Her beautiful 50th birthday tweets

Thank you so much to everyone wishing Harry and me a happy birthday! I'm having a wonderful time in the sun with family and friends. xxxxx

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 31, 2015

Also, big thanks to the group of Potter fans I just met for being so lovely and low key in a crowded place. My kids loved you! xxx

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 31, 2015

*I wish I was there*

I was going to post a picture of our West Highland Terrier commiserating with me early this morning because in dog years I'm dead.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) July 31, 2015

I'm pretty sure that if JKR were a dog, her lifespan would be as long as Fluffy's. Seriously, I bet that dog's been around for centuries!

August

A conversation about teas

I would never, ever have a Horcrux. They are evil objects created through despicable means! (Possibly a teabag). https://t.co/jcPttBaZuX

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 7, 2015

In the first week of August, she mainly talked about teas and how to make them properly. Hence, the most important thing I took from Tea week was the information of what JKR's horcrux would be.

Though I believe that her souls are in the books. How else would you explain Fred, Dumbledore, Snape, Lupin, Tonks, Dobby and Hedwig?

Is there a Wizard Equivalent for the United Nations?

The equivalent is the International Confederation of Wizards. https://t.co/7DcIVI1TIg

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 8, 2015

The confederation also made the International Statue of Wizarding secrecy, to hide the wizarding world from the muggle world, as well as cover-ups (much like what they do in M.I.B.). Most notably, Albus Dumbledore was a Supreme Mugwump at the Confederation - that is until he said that Voldemort was back.

Anthony Goldstein's famous relatives

I feel I owe you a bit of #FantasticBeasts information after you all got behind @Scotlandteam, so let's see...

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 15, 2015

Well, I think it's widely known that that characters of (Porpen)tina and Queenie are sisters, but not that their surname is Goldstein.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 15, 2015

They're distantly related! And are also Jewish wizards/witches!

The sad truth about Hagrid

Hagrid couldn't produce a Patronus. It's a very difficult spell. https://t.co/TRDVNvSEdR

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 21, 2015

A fan asked what Hagrid's patronus was. Sadly the gamekeeper couldn't perform it. It wasn't about not having good and happy memories that's for sure. Probably because he didn't get to finish his Hogwarts education? Hagrid is one of my most favorite characters in the series, JKR, please can he have his own wand again?

Fantastic Beasts: Beauty in diversity

@Vividscarletsky Everyone in #FantasticBeasts is not white.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 25, 2015

@Vividscarletsky Perhaps wait until you see the movie to judge? It is a trilogy and all the characters have not been revealed or cast yet.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 25, 2015

The cast will diversify, eventually. JKR did address that the tweeter raised a significant point. It's just that Jo couldn't address it fully without giving away a lot.

After all this time? Always.

So proud of my boys. Even after all these years, they still want to kick each other's arses. pic.twitter.com/nwQI7s4jka

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 28, 2015

She's so, so proud of them.

September

First day of Hogwarts!

I'm in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King's Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He's starting at Hogwarts today. #BackToHogwarts

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) September 1, 2015

N'aww wouly you look at that, folks? Young James Sirius is starting his first year at Hogwarts!

Gryffindor!

Have just heard that James S Potter has been Sorted (to nobody's surprise) into Gryffindor. Teddy Lupin (Head Boy, Hufflepuff) disappointed.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) September 1, 2015

We've just successfully passed one timeline, folks. Two more years and we're here:

Lumos for children!

Placing children in #institutions is harmful and needless. I explain why in the new @lumos film http://t.co/Gk51saeW3r

You can read more about it here or watch the eye-opening video below:

The Dawn of the Age of Hufflepuff

This is starting to feel like the dawn of the Age of Hufflepuff... #FantasticBeasts https://t.co/j4kj2nYurr

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) September 9, 2015

The badgers won the final house cup this year. And, like the snakes before them, they were awarded with 'Famous Hufflepuffs Through The Ages'. Where was ours (Ravenclaw) when we won two times in a row? Well, we did get new 'moments' in Goblet of Fire and a Ravenclaw desktop wallpaper (with all Ravenclaw students names)... But still, we would have loved to know who are other famous figures from our house!

An angel and the silent 't'

@Universe_Box One piece of Harry Potter trivia I always forget to mention: the "t" is silent in Voldemort, according to @jk_rowling.

— Michael Lucero (@mhenrylucero) September 9, 2015

@jk_rowling cute right? pic.twitter.com/z33cTOrLiX

— mel (@meupatrono) September 9, 2015

Fred's little angel wings. What are you people trying to do to me? I SAID I was sorry! https://t.co/EgGKxTnlU3

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) September 9, 2015

Maybe Voldemort was pissed at everyone because he came up with this really cool anagram of his name and nobody pronounces it the way it should be pronounced in French, with a silent 't'? Voldemort means "flight from death".

If Voldy had a Twitter

@HelenMilburn @JamieRoss7 Voldemort can't stand not being followed. It'd really put his nose out of joint if he had one.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) September 15, 2015

As a matter of fact, Voldemort has over 2M followers!

Mrs. Norris vs Crookshanks

'Tis a very important cat question. We have Filch's scrawny cat and Hermione's Half-Kneazle who is probably one of the most intelligent of his kind. Some would ship this two, but one tweeter asked who would win in a cat fight. Rowling gave her verdict:

It would be brutal and very close, but Crookshanks' Kneazle ancestry would bring him out on top. https://t.co/qLc08eGuMz

October

J.K. Rowling debunks Harry Potter theories

This is one of the most impossibly ridiculous theory I've ever heard.

Dear @jk_rowling: Ron is a time-traveling Dumbledore -- fact or theory?

— Samantha (@geekdarlings) October 2, 2015

Rowling magicked it away with one swift tweet.

False theory. https://t.co/c89Erq9hnD

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 2, 2015

Draco Malfoy: A Werewolf?

Their family is friends with the most savage werewolf - Fenrir Greyback, AND he could have been Voldemort's 'promised prey'. After Lucius failings and Draco's own failures as well, The Dark Lord may have had Greyback bite Draco thus infecting him the disease.

Come to think of it, he's VERY close with Snape too... Wolfsbane source? There's a whole article dedicated to this which you can read right here...

But... as intriguing as that sounds, JKR said it isn't true.

@jk_rowling There's. Another theory that Draco Malfoy is a werewolf fact or fiction?

— Abbi (@Riverfeather207) October 2, 2015

I've never seen that one before. Draco definitely isn't a werewolf (and Snape's not a vampire). https://t.co/TSliADJvyi

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 2, 2015

Nope.

What would Snape smell like?

Snape smells. That's for sure. Not counting anything else unpleasant in his appearance... His hair must stink for sure. Long, unkempt and greasy. Gross! But what exactly would he smell like?

Bitterness and old shoes. https://t.co/sbTLoPLDpj

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 2, 2015

Old shoes is kind of tolerable, but bitterness can reek all over the place and can be smelled even at a long distance.

Her favorite sentence of 2015

.@CornpuffMcGruff "It's whatev, do your thing Row-Row." I think I've found my favourite sentence of 2015. https://t.co/IDCK1Zi953

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) November 25, 2015

Corwin's tweet was in response to one person asking Row-Row to if she could write all the HP books in Dumbledore's perspective. I think it would be interesting... Especially if you see 'Dumbledore logic' Tumblr posts often.

The whole Snape debacle

Some people still hate the fact that Albus Severus was named after an 'abuser'. The author explained why:

In honouring Snape, Harry hoped in his heart that he too would be forgiven. The deaths at the Battle of Hogwarts would haunt Harry forever.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) November 27, 2015

@durinfunerals Success as a person means being fully and completely who you are. Don't measure yourself against others. Be you.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) November 30, 2015

Sometimes we are insecure of the success of others. We compare every little thing that we do - or do wrong. Thinking we're not good enough and feeling pitiful to ourselves instead of striving harder. Some things are easier said than done, but we must always bear in mind that if we always keep on doing this, there's a likelihood that we're overlooking our own personal development, which is what truly matters.

Harry Potter & The Cursed Child Casting

The golden trio that will grace the London stage has been announced. The internet is divided with the casting of Hermione in particular. However, J.K. responded that she loves her!

Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione https://t.co/5fKX4InjTH

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) December 21, 2015
