Well 2015 has seen five new additions to the top ten list of highest grossing films of all time. It's seen incredible franchises like Marvel and Fast & Furious continue their domination of the box office, while the great franchises of the past return with a vengeance in the forms of Jurassic World, Mad Max: Fury Road and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
But it's all about to become irrelevant, because 2015 is at it's end, the final moments of the year have arrived, and while we have a lot to remember from the past 12 months, but let's forget all that while we look instead to the next 12, and the great films coming out over the course of them!
January
The Forest (January 8th)

Ride Along 2 (January 15th)

Ice Cube and Kevin Hart return as the cop and his brother-in-law who blunder their way through major crimes. This time Ben (Kevin Hart) has to head to Miami shortly before his wedding day in order to help James take down a group of drug dealers supplying Atlanta.
The 5th Wave (January 22nd)

The earth has been left devastated by four waves of alien attacks, and Cassie (Chloe Grace Moretz) is on the run, trying to save her younger brother as the 5th, and most deadly, wave arrives.

Jack Black returns as Po, who is forced to deal with a supernatural threat as he discovers his true heritage.

Josh Brolin stars as a Hollywood fixer who has to gather the stars of a studio together to help find the kidnapped star of their next big film.

A most fascinating take on the classic tale where the challenges of different classes falling in love is put on hold to deal with an army of zombies.

In what is now predicted to be one of 2016's major flops for it's controversial casting choices, Gods of Egypt tells the story of a common thief and a God trying to stop another God from taking over Egypt.

Zootopia (or Zootropolis in the U.S) is about a city of animals, where a Fox (Jason Bateman) goes on the run after being framed for a crime he didn't commit.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25th)

In the long-awaited sequel to Man of Steel, the world is still reeling from the events of Superman and Zod's battle in Metropolis, while the Batman (Ben Affleck) slowly turns against the Man of Steel, leading to an epic conflict.

A retelling of the classic tale, with a whole lot of special effects required. An all star cast voices the well known animals, including Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Christopher Walken as King Louie, Bill Murray as Baloo, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera and Scarlett Johansson as Kaa.
The Huntsman: Winters War (April 22nd)

A sequel to 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman, Chris Hemsworth returns to save the kingdom from a pair of sisters attempting to take it over.

Based on the true story, this could be considered this generation's version of Cool Runnings, as a hopeful ski jumper mentored by a legend in the sport as he tries to reach the Olympics, no matter how many people stand in his way.

One of many video game adaptations coming out in 2016, Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two heroes trying to stop a villain destroying every planet in their galaxy.

An adaptation of the well known video game, in which two worlds fates are intertwined, and two races must learn to work together in order to survive the threat.

The Warren's travel to England to deal with a very different kind of threat, all based on the case files from the real life Warrens.
Now You See Me: The Second Act (June 10th)

Third time around the Purge series is going right back to the very first Purge to see how it went the first time around!
The Legend of Tarzan (July 1st)

Telling a very different story to the one you know, this time Tarzan has already settled in England and is forced to return to the jungle to save it.

From the guys behind the Despicable Me films comes the pet equivilant of Toy Story, telling us about what our pets really get up to when we're away.

A reboot of the original team that "ain't afraid of no ghosts" sees an all female cast, with Chris Hemsworth as their secretary.

Not much is known about the fifth Bourne film yet, not even the title, but we know Matt Damon will return as the titular character he became famous for.

Reboot of the classic Disney tale about a boy and his imaginary pet dragon.
Sausage Party (August 12th)

Jason Statham returns as the assassin people hire to make deaths look like accidents. This time, he has to do three such killings to save the woman he loves.

Another zombie film, although this time one of the survivors is able to speak their language, and leads the others left alive on a hunt for the first patient and a possible cure.

A film about the Storks who deliver babies, or used to. Now they work for a global delivery company, and when one accidentally makes a baby he is forced to find it a new home before he is caught.

A reboot of the classic film where seven gunslingers are brought together to stop a gang of bandits raiding a village in the west.
Deepwater Horizon (September 30th)

Focuses on the oil rig that caused the biggest spill ever in 2010 in the gulf of Mexico.

The Accountant (October 7th)
Starring: Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, Jeffrey Tambor, Jon Bernthal, JK Simmons.
Revolves around an accountant who un-cooks the books for illicit clients.
Inferno (October 14th)
Starring: Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones, Irrfan Kahan, Omar Sy.
Adapting another book in the Dan Brown "Robert Langdon" series, this time Tom Hanks has to deal with a set of puzzles in Italy after being accused of a crime.
Gambit (October 16th)
Starring: Channing Tatum, Lea Seydoux.
The famous mutant finally gets a solo film with Channing Tatum as the lead.
Jack Reacher: Never go back (October 21st)
Starring: Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Danica Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger.
Tom Cruise returns for a second run at Jack Reacher, an ex-military ghost who solves crimes under no jurisdiction but his own.
Underworld 5 (October 28th)
Starring: Kate Beckinsale, Theo James, Charles Dance, Bradley James.
Kate Beckinsale returns as the vampiress Seline, this time trying to find her hybrid lover before he kills anyone.
November
Trolls (November 4th)
Starring: Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake.
A film about troll dolls can only bring a lot of musical and comedic fun for the whole family.
Doctor Strange (November 4th)
Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Another Marvel hero enters the MCU, this time the Sorcerer Supreme Stephen Strange, in the form of Benedict Cumberbatch.
Why Him? (November 11th)
Starring: Bryan Cranston, James Franco, Zoey Deutch.
A film about a father forced to compete for his daughter's affections with her rich boyfriend.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (November 18th)

The story of McDonald's founder Ray Kroc, and his rise to the top of a worldwide empire.
The Great Wall (November 23rd)
Starring: Matt Damon, Pedro Pascal, Willem Defoe, Andy Lau.
Involves a mystery surrounding the building of the great wall of China.
Moana (November 23rd)
Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Auli'i Crabalho, Alan Tudyk.
The next of the beloved Disney Princesses, Moana is a girl with navigational talents who tries to find a mythical island.
December
Rogue One (December 15th)
Starring: Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Forest Whitaker.
Set in the Star Wars universe between episodes three and four, Rogue One tells the story of the team of rebels who set out to steal the plans to the Death Star.
Assassins Creed (December 21st)
Starring: Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Brendan Gleeson, Jeremy Irons.
Another video game adaptation, this time of the popular series set around an ancient group of assassins and their descendant, who goes through their memories to take down an evil corporation in the present.
Passengers (December 23rd)
Starring: Chris Pratt, Jennifer Lawrence.
A sci-fi drama and romance starring these two can be nothing short of amazing, even if Jennifer Lawrence had to get incredibly drunk before feeling ready to film the sex scene.
Sing (December 23rd)
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Reese Witherspoon.
About a Koala who gathers his friends to try and save his theatre from shutting down.
Jumanji (December 23rd)
Starring: TBA
A reboot of the classic 1995 film starring Robin Williams, not much is known yet about casting or how similar it will be to the original.
