If you're on the lookout for cool film happenings in London, UK this week, look no further: the London Feminist Film Festival is happening between Thursday 20 August and Sunday 23 August at the Rio Cinema in Essex and the Tricycle Cinema in London.

The festival's programme is ethnically diverse and seeks to celebrate film made by and about women from all over the world. Highlights of the programme include the UK premiere of She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry, an award-winning documentary on the women who shaped what is now known as modern women's movement of the '60s and '70s, and The Art of Ama Ata Aidoo, an entirely crowdfunded, award-winning documentary on one of Africa's foremost writers.

A must-attend for any and all feminists with an interest in film, the LFFF is now in its third year.
