“The Voice” Season 6 has trimmed down its contestants from the Top 5 to the Top 3 finalists. Who were sent home? Read on to find out more about MNG’s “The Voice” Season 6 recap of Episode 27 “Live Semifinals Results,” wherein the Top 3 finalists were revealed.

On “The Voice” Season 6 Episode 26 “Live Semifinals,” which aired on Monday night, May 12, 2014, the Top 5 finalists performed two songs each. Their coach picked one song, while the other song that they performed were by their own choosing. Each finalist delivered his or her very best performances.

Then, “The Voice” Season 6 Episode 27 “Live Semifinals Results” was aired on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.

The bottom three contestants were Kristen Merlin of Team Shakira, Kat Perkins and Christina Grimmie, who are both from Team Adam. The Instant Save was applied last May 12, 2014, in which the two other finalists Jake Worthington of Team Blake and Josh Kaufman of Team Usher secured their spots. Now, only one person can be saved from the bottom three.

“The Voice” Season 6 Episode 27 “Live Semifinals Results” Performances:

1. Kristen Merlin performed Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away.”

2. Kat Perkins performed Carrie Underwood’s song “Good Girl.”

3. And, Christina Grimmie performed One Republic’s “Apologize.”

So, who did the audience save through #VoiceSave? It’s Christina Grimmie! She will be up against Worthington and Kaufman next week during the “Live Finale” (Episode 28 air date: May 19, 2014) and “Live Finale Results” (Episode 29: May 20, 2014).

With Grimmie saved, that puts Perkins out and Merlin together with her coach, Shakira.

We also saw awesome performances this episode with Rascal Flatts performing “Rewind.”

And, there was also Ed Sheeran who stopped by to announce that he would perform at “The Voice” Season 6 finale next week.

Some of the finalists from “The Voice” Season 5 also shared their latest singles such as Jacquie Lee (coach: Christina Aguilera), who sang “Broken Ones.”

Will Champlin (coach: Adam Levine), who sang “Eye of the Pyramid.”

And “The Voice” Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin (coach: Adam Levine) performed “Everything Reminds Me of You.”
