Stephen Hawking Quantum is Calling casts Star Trek actors to form a sci-fi movie about quantum revolution. The great physicist got a delightful role as the very wise Dr. Stephen Hawking.
The video stars with Zoe Saldana opening a package delivered to Simon Pegg’s house. Accidentally, the cat Schrödinger falls into the box and was transferred into another dimension. Saldana panics and calls Paul Rudd but he was not available.
She then turns to the next smart person she knows. She asked help from Dr. Stephen Hawking who helps her decipher the code to access the quantum realm. The video is intended to promote the study of quantum information theory and quantum computing as per CNet.
Stephen Hawking Quantum is Calling was directed by Alex Winter of the Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure fame. It is a collaboration between Caltech’s Institute of Quantum Information and Matter, Trouper Productions, Kavli Nanoscience and Cinestar (owned by Zoe Saldana and YouTube Channel).

It is obviously hilarious with Rudd having the best Caller ID and Saldana in a panic. But the most delightful part is Dr. Stephen Hawking saying, “OMG. You are such a nerd!” Keanu Reeves and Simon Pegg appear in voice only John Cho, Paul Rudd, and Zoe Saldana and Hawking comprise the cast.

Based on his studies, this world will last only for 1,000 years and man will become extinct. However, he said that if men can make colonies in other planets, then he might survive.
Stephen Hawking Quantum is Calling is the second video in the series, the first if Quantum Chess. It is a video with Paul Rudd who lost to Stephen Hawking in a game of chess.
