Outlander Season 3: Filming of the Reunion Scene
According to EW, the reunion shot between Claire and Jamie has been shot in Scotland. It further adds that this scene is from Diana Gabaldon’s third book Voyager, on which the new season is based.
Outlander Season 2 had ended on a cliffhanger. After traveling through the stones, Claire Fraser had continued to live her life without Jamie, thinking that he died in the battle. But according to EW, Claire returns through the stones to find Jamie. She reunites with him in the print shop where he works.
Balfe Teases Reunion of Jamie and Claire
Caitriona Balfe expressed her thoughts on the print shop scene in Outlander Season 3. She talked about it during the red carpet event of Golden Globes Awards 2017.
Balfe also talked about her reaction when shooting the scene. “I think it was written very beautifully,” the actress said. “Matt B. Roberts wrote it. It has every emotion in it.” Further teasing the details of the scene she said, “The excitement, the tentativeness, the nerves, everything. I think it’s really beautiful” reports EW.
