Chances of The Matrix 4 film may not be bright at present. But Keanu Reeves who played the character of Neo in first film of the series The Matrix in 1999 has been quizzed from time to time whether the actor would be interesting to work in another sequel. The 52-year-old star has worked in the other two sequels of the franchise as well.
Keanu Reeves Ready To Work In The Matrix 4
Keanu Reeves comes up as the right choice for The Matrix 4 too. Currently, he is busy grabbing some rave reviews for his performance as John Wick in recently released John Wick: Chapter 2. However, speaking over taking up The Matrix 4, he says that he would only be interested if The Wachowskis take up to directing and writing the movie. Then the next step for the actor would be to go through the script. If the script comes up to be promising enough he would not mind working in the new film.
What about the other characters of The Matrix series? Keanu Reeves did not make any comments over the other possible star cast of The Matrix 4. But it would be hard to imagine a sequel without Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus and Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity.
The Matrix fans may already be aware that Neo dies in The Matrix Revolutions (2003) as Neo-Smith clone gets destroyed. His body is eventually carried away by the machines. Now the question comes up is that how will The Matrix 4 revive the character of Neo again? Since The Matrix is a sci-fi series it would not be tough for the writer to work up on this point. The important point lies that the new script should be entertaining. If the audiences get to see their favorite character Neo again they are even open to accept a thrilling storyline.
Will Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski Direct The Matrix 4?
Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski have not worked on anything substantial apart from the Sense 8 TV series. Their last movie was Jupiter Ascending (2015). With no important upcoming project at hand there are bright chances that the sister directors would not mind working on The Matrix 4.
According to What Culture, rumors over The Matrix 4 film as new sequel or may be a new trilogy for the series have been buzzing around for long. Will the audiences get the opportunity to see Neo returning back to life again?
